they didnt boo him to losing boxing matches. they booed him because of his actions after the defeat, including not being in the margo-mosley match and choosing to attend the affliction card. boxing fans feel like they are being betrayed by goldie

If he only went down swinging not went out on his stool. It could be another story. People would give him much more respect to go down with his dignity.

Oscar is a boxer who risks his life in the ring..He isnt a "warrior" like el terrible, Pacquiao, Gatti. He never forced anyone to buy his ppv. I think he is misleading and an ******* sometimes.
Does he deserved to be boooed? No he shouldnt be applauded as an ATG either

I remember when Oscar used to have an excellent 1-2 combo. Those were the days.

I do not agree with the booing, yet Oscar put himself above the fans by fighting the fights he thought he could win over the real challenges the fight fans wanted. No big deal not taking a chance, but he was paid top dollar for those fights. Sugar Ray Leonard was booed the same way in the late 1980s when he started to handpick his fights. The boxing fans saw Leonard as a BS artist who picked fights for himself in the same way Oscar has been hand picking. I think the fans see guys like Ray and Oscar as these great fighters who had it all in personality and skills, and when they make it big they got almost too big for the fans who made them who they were. Ray and now Oscar are seen as guys who disregarded the fans who in the beginning made them who they are.
