Got bored so i decided to score it

I got it a draw and i gave most unclear rounds to oscar.
They were 4 rounds that could have gone either way and i gave 3 of them to oscar. So i can see now why tito got the nod.

you can make the case for both guys depending of how you split those 4 rounds but its easy to just give them to oscar if you get distracted by the fans going wild for every dela hoya flurry even if all hit air and the biased broadcast

I don't think anyone claims he dominated or comfortably beat Tito - just that he ought to have probably still gotten the nod despite hightailing it down the stretch.

You can't give more than 5 rounds and one even (the 1st round) at the very, very best to Trinidad.

Despite the last 3 rounds, DLH won.

Exactly, I scored it in a very similar way. Except, I gave every single close round to Oscar because I always try to score a fight in the manner I believe the judges will. Anyway, came up with a draw also, only thing that happened is they actually gave Tito a close round IMO.

that's right, tito was landing hard single shots for most of the round and oscar came back with hard flurries, so who you award that round?

Most people had it a one or two point fight (most in Oscar's favor). It was a very close fight.

    Correct.

i had it a draw as well.

the reason to why a lot of people think that Oscar won was that the rounds he won were clear cut. whereas the rounds that Tito won were competitive.

but i don't have a problem with Tito getting the win on the night because of the last 3 rounds where Oscar ran.

It wasn't close to me. Oscar was schooling his ass until he decided to play cat and mouse. That's when the fight tightened up and Tito wasn't really connecting then. He was chasing and that made Oscar look bad.

I think the people that believe Oscar clearly won are the same who think if you are outboxed then you lost the round. I feel I have to say too often for people who consider themselves hardcore fans...being outboxed or outboxing (being hit, outhit) someone is not the determining factor for who won a round. It's true, DLH outboxed Tito in almost every round, but a round is scored on out hurting your opponent. This is pro boxing, not the Olympics, not scored by Compubox...the win goes to who is believed to out hurt the other guy in the most rounds. I've looked up the AP results before because many posters said DLH won easily, thought maybe I would see them concurring, I did not, the far more trusworthy opinions of the AP who are also fans all had it close, those that disagree are either biased or need to learn to score better.
