I disagree. But the bottom line was...it was a close fight.

A punch that lands clean doesn't always hurt an opponent. I agree with your overall point, damage is key, but it doesn't really apply in terms of making a case for Tito.

I find only the very biased think Tito could have won that fight.

The world's greatest ventriloquist act. Don thinks it in English and Jose says it in Spanish.

Only if you think 8-4 is close.

If you had it 8-4, that's your business.

lol, I sound ridiculous, then you go on to spew some nonsense about Oscar completely shutting down Tito offense....if Tito's offense was made to be such a non factor, why Oscar moving backward and losing rounds?? And the entire purpose of throwing a punch is to hurt, just because you can't see the effect of all of them, doesn't mean they're not hurting, else Oscar would not have been moving backward to such a degree, and Tito's come forward momentun would not have been stopped at times. It's know by the boxers that it's easier for you to win the rounds coming forward on the judges cards, so Tito would not have stopped coming forward unless for a reason, and Oscar would not have moved backward without reason.

I don't care who it's thought that won, it just was not a "runaway" victory for Oscar, lol, sorry, had to.

I don't believe there should be a preference, you just gotta be able to gauge effectiveness. You named some of the barely visible signs, there are even invisible ones with which to score. Like being able to gauge the pause of action on a fighter after him having taken a shot, the reluctancy to continue coming forward where as they had before after taking a shot etc. and then being able to time those breaks, pauses etc. to get a feel for how much effect.

The last four rounds were Titos no doubt in anybodys mind. Personally I scored it a draw.

Tito was basically coming forward running his face face into Oscar's punches. Even hit Oscar after the bell, didn't even make Oscar flinch. One of the worst decisions ever. To be fair, 160 version of Tito beats Oscar, but Tito didn't belong in the same ring with Oscar 147-154. Almost a one sided beating.
