    According to Freddy Roach ,Oscar Delahoya has fired welterweight sparring partner Victor " Vicious " Ortiz (22-1-1 17 KO's )not because he was no good but because he was beating Oscar up !

    The issue at hand: Oscar by 4th round KO. and I want to see Freddie look like a twat afterwards. I hope HBO interview him and call him up on everything he said in the build-up.

    who knows? sparring isn't fighting, and if a fighter can't get good work in because his sparring partners keep trying to knock him out instead of letting him polish whatever he's trying to improve, yeah, they'll probably get fired. It would be like if your jiu-jitsu coach was more interested in choking you out than helping you learn.
