It is the punch that most tend to find Floyd. Oscar's best rounds was when he let the jab go, and that's why he made the fight competitive. Same with Cotto, although he did back Floyd into the ropes, it was his stiff jab that busted Floyd's nose. Hell even the few highlights that Canelo had were just a few jabs that snapped Floyd's head back. And its the lack of a jab why Mosley lost so easily to Floyd.

But as people have pointed out, the jab is the best punch in boxing and everyone (no matter how good) will have trouble against a good jab. So does that mean Floyd truly has some weakness in particular to jabs...or is it simply that jabs are hard to deal with in general:think

ODH stopped the jab because he got countered over it over and over again when FMJ had him figured out. Plain and simple.

And, no, Pac will never outjab Mayweather, it will be the other way around and one of the key elements of Mayweathers fight plan.

A constant jab will disrupt his timing and reduce counters.

You'll probably see him switch to high guard. His shell is simply too vulnerable to straight punches.it is going to be very hard for Floyd to time those short, fast straights that Manny throws.

Floyd doesn't really slip punches by bobbing and weaving. There's your answer.

small ass Mayweather beat Oscar, imagine if they fought at 147 without Oscar controlling the negotiations and picking Floyd's gloves

a constant jab gets countered. It's not as simple as just throwing it. Every fighter has seen the Oscar fight and tried using that gameplan.

Yep, that's why he was in a rush to fight him, after Floyd was calling for the fight for years! :patsch

It was working but he gave up on it.

Maidana had a lot of success with the jab against Floyd.

Yeah, if every good fighter could block every jab, no one would bother jabbing. :good
