Oscar gave a very good gameplan IMO.

A more refined strat then the one that he used against Floyd. He had Robert and Canelo applying the jab and countering strat. The jab is the only punch that might have a chance to land on Floyd and punch when Floyd punch is the second option to might possibly land on Floyd.

Canelo did a pretty good job in the first four rounds being patient and he damn near clocked Floyd on numerous occasions but as with all plans goes to **** when Floyd adjusts himself like he always do. lock down the range to hit and not get hit and it was over.

Canelo, even though he was schooled badly, is still a very good fighter. Highly intelligent. The problem, and his kyrptonite, is slowwww footspeed and bad stamina.

Floyd Sr gave Mayweather some sage advice between rounds 3 and 4. "Walk up to him in the philly shell behind your shoulder and let him expend the energy."

Mayweather implemented it immediately and you could see results right away. He could handle whatever Canelo threw, counter occassionally, lead when Canelo expended too much energy, and stop leading and following Canelo around.

Canelo mentioned that he was studying Floyd's fights with Cotto, Castillo and DLh because they had some success SO I figured he would go in there a bit more aggressive than he was. Canelo did implement Oscar's blueprint but unfortunately he decided to only use the last 4 rounds of the DLH/Floyd fight.

Oscar is not his trainer.was not at the fight and had nothing to do with it. bad strategy to try and counter punch floyd.soon as he let floyd get into his timing and rhythm it was all over and easy work for him. Canelo is good but there is not really anyone at 154 to challenge him so he will be a champion again. Cotto or Molina next.

Nothing to do with it? Canelo and Oscar are buddies and they talk about how to beat Floyd numerous of times.
