Lemieux vs. Canelo would be an awesome match up but high risk/low reward for Canelo imo and the fact that Canelo won't move up to 160 and Lemieux could never make 155 is an issue..

I was never sold on Imam's skills and I don't even remember Douglas other than his name.

But GGG kinda gave the blueprint on Lemieux, all he had to do was pop out his jab and the dude didn't know WTF to do.

Yeah that's because GGG hits like 100 times harder than Canelo Alvarez. It's not that he can't get past jabs, he got past N'Dam's and Rosado's good jabs with ease, it just hurt too much trying to get past GGG's.

Imam is good, but Golovkin is skilled and his jab has a unique power. Lemieux just got outclassed, if he stays in his lane he can still have good performances.

Is Canelo going to fight the winner of Tapia/Lemiux @155lbs? Embarrassing, to say the least!

Lemieux will rock up at the weigh in bang on 155. But with only one arm.

Canelo, "I've earned the right to such advantages as having four limbs, by virtue of being Mexican".

Someone needs to tell GGG to lay off the goat if he's going to make 155

I can understand Canelo and Golden Boy to try to get all the advantage they can. But where is the WBC? Wasn't GGG the mandatory?

How is Lemieux going to make 155? He couldn't make 160.

Lemieux is an overhyped fringe contender who's beaten one good fighter. He really looked stupid against Alcine, and Canelo would box his ears off.

    Who's ducking ?

The dude who refuses to defend his 160 lb belt ?

    The dude who's fighting GGG's leftovers ?

    Answer's pretty obvious.

And it will be to Mexican fans.

How many such fights would Canelo take till he would have worked himself down to being B-side?

    Finally, it could backfire.

    Canelo-Lemieux is a 50 - 50 proposition.

Heres a thought! G excepts the terms but, his 160 belt is not on the table! So if he is weight drained and loses he still holds the middle weight belt and gets a big payday! Nothing wrong with those terms, especially when you take into consideration that Canelo says he's not a true middle weight!
