In response to Floyd Sr. saying the fight needs to be at 147

I don't know what Floyd Jr is thinking, but this is a smart move by Oscar. He's appealing to Mayweather's ego here. Mayweather should be making a decision in the next 2-3 weeks.

Floyd will be 150-155ish on fight night.

Canelo will be close to 170lbs.

While I want to see the fight, I really wouldn't blame Floyd if it didn't happen.

Well you think there wasnt 15 lbs difference between JCCjr and Sergio?? When you are as good as Floyd is you should challenge your self, and i think Floyd would beat him!

I think he would beat him as well but Floyd shouldn't fight at 154 again after this fight. He is to old to be moving up and down in weight.

**** how hard is it to grasp if he can fight Cotto at 154 he can fight Canelo at 154. Im pretty sure Cotto came in near enough to 170 anyway, **** Ortiz and Mosley probably packed the weight on aswell . If he doesn't figjt Canelo because of the weight its a blatant duck

How is it a duck? Mayweather is the top dog. If you cant see the differnce between Canelo's weight and Cottos then you have problems.

Here's the problem with your logic, Canelo has fought at WW before, and he fought at a catch weight before. So while Myweather has shown he can fight at 154, Canelo has shown he can fight at 151. The fight should take place at 154. However, Mayweather is the draw. If he's insistent on a catch weight of 151 or 152, Canelo should agree. Ideally though, they would just fight at the JMW limit.

The weight is not an issue at all.

However, when Canelo was asked about fighting Floyd Mayweather in his post fight interview after Trout he responded with a feeble "Maybe".

David Haye (A real man) fought Valuev when he had 100 pounds on him on fight night! Haye won due to skills... Why Can't ***** boy fight Canelo @ 154? Canelo would just be 15 pounds heavier.. The self proclaimed best fighter ever surely could use his skill to beat an inferior, bigger fighter? Right?

Im not even sure Void is a man... He might have a *****! Im being serious..

Oscar needs to pacify his future cash cow while appeasing his current cash cow. This statement does both.

All Floyd has to do is demand a rehydration clause on how much Canelo can rehydrate on fight night. I don't see any problem with asking the fight at 154 and demanding a rehydration clause. Only Floyd's haters would find a way to complain about it.

yet they will weigh the same at the weigh in.
its always been like this. and for the "greatest" of his era to make this an issue is a pure ***** move.

Hopefully this fight happens at Jr Middle. He fought at 154 before, so he can fight there again. Canelo is a big dude, but Mayweather has the experience, ability, speed and the brain. It's still a fight that is heavily favored for Floyd.
