I was a die hard Tito's fan. I had Tito over DLH by one point. Just like one of the judges. I thank God everyday because DLH decided to run the last 3 rounds. I am not sure if he was trying not to get KO or he just thought he already won the fight. But you have to understand something. If in one round you landed 80 punches and your opponent 20, you get the roung 10-9. If the next round you landed 4 and you opponent 8, he gets the round 10-9 and you are even!!!!!! It doesn't matter if you have landed 84 and he landed 28. Boxing rules count rounds, not landed punches.

So that means that Oscar won by four, cuz just like the judges you gave Tito 5 rounds before the opening bell...Tito got dominated in that fight, I had it 9-3 for Oscar and I have a $100 bet on Tito....Tito didnt win that fight, it wasnt even close.

Oscar may not quite be an all time great boxer but he's one of the most important names in boxing history due to his ability to bring the masses to the sport.

Yeah, I won $150 on that fight, either though I knew Tito had lost the "actual" boxing match.....I felt bad accepting the money, but DLH just didn't close the show, and that really left a mark on me.

I have gone back on my prediction that he will dominate Pacquiao.I think Oscar will just win a close decision.I don't think Oscar has that big fight attitude where he can step up and dominate the best fighters aven against Chavez the second time that fight was alot closer than it should have been against a totally washed up Chavez. He still has enough good wins to make him a top 100 all-time great

He's not an ATG but he did get robbed against Tito. I had him losing to Mosley the second time and Quartey.

Tito Trinidad did not beat Oscar De La Hoya the judges did, probably the promoter Don King as well, from my eyes Tito deserved at best a draw, DLH won easily the first half of the fight, and if you think the judges were not corrupt in that fight explain how one judge gave Oscar the last round? a round in which DLH didnt even land a single shot??

I also had him beating Mosley in the rematch which will soon enough be over turned to a NC anyhow. The big fights DLH lost to are against Hopkins and Mosley IMO DLH didnt lose to Mayweather he didnt lose to Tito so in reality he really should only have 2 losses on that record you can surely make a case that he only has 2 losses. but you can also make a case he lost to whitaker Quartey etc....

either way if you dont think De La Hoya is an ATG then you dont know boxing.

There's at least one person for every stupid perspective. You seem to be of this one.

He made Tito look an amateur for nine rounds, so I would say he certainly can be ranked above him.

I do not really care for DLh but he has a pretty good resume. He been in there with everybody with mixed results. He's gotten some gift decisions in fights with Whitaker and Sturm, and he's been robbed before like the the fight with Trinidad and the second Mosley fight, But he always been pretty coneptitive in his fights.

Depends on what your idea of an ATG is. Is it top 25 boxers of all time? 50?

If you are talking about top 100 then I would say yes, but I can't discount that he lost most of his big fights. The greatest rise to the occasion. It's been pointed out that Oscar got robbed against Tito and also Mosely II. I agree, but he also should have lost to Whitaker and Sturm. I really wish he would've been able to defeat Mayweather because then I wouldnt even hesitate to have him in my top 50. He would definitely be in my top 75 if I ever made a top 100 list.

Also, a lot of people rate Oscar higher for what he has done for the sport. While I do not have a problem with that; I choose to rate fighters soley on what they have acomplished in the ring.
