"Floyd is not a fighter who throws combinations, he only fights 25 seconds of a round" - Oscar..

No Oscar, you only fought 25 seconds of each round against Floyd, that is why you lost!

    Over at the scene.

Oscar advising Canelo on Mayweathers flaws.

Oscar is right about Floyd not throwing combinations. That would compromise his defence.

Floyd has tamed all of his opponents punch outputs... Its not some divine miracle that when a fighter fights floyd his output sits at abou half of what they have averaged in there last few fights...

Canelos huge weight advantage might let him walk through some of floyds shots and maybe keep him from going gunshy but that wont stop the fact that floyds gonna tattoo his face with jabs and right hands whils on the move.

Fyi if anyone here thinks oscar abbandoned the jab against floyd i think you should consider jumping in the ring with a good counterpuncher

Yeah, he is right about the combo's.

But fancy Oscar saying Mayweather only fights 25 seconds a round, when that is all Oscar done against Floyd - and it cost him the fight.
That along with him abandoning his jab for some reason.

Oscar only fought the last 25 seconds of every round against Mayweather!

Above Deck, absolutely true about Oscar. He'd always throw a frantic flurry right at the end of a round in an attempt to impress the judges.

No he is right Floyds not a combination puncher anymore and really only does "fight" for about a total 30 secs per round.

Oscar is completely right! He came forward all night putting his chin out there and throwing combo after combo. there wouldn't have even been a fight if Oscar didn't pursue in such an aggressive manner.

Have you even watched that fight? Who was coming forward throwing punches all night? Certainly not floyd.

Once Oscar neglected his jab, the only punches that were thrown - were the ones that he was walking into.

He's not really insulting Mayweather there because a lot of what he's saying is true. Mayweather is only active when he needs to be and rarely throws combinations(especially after his move up in weight). Mayweather is a fighter that usually waits for his opponent's reaction to determine his move.

Don't neglect all the body punches and punches to floyds shoulders. In reality, Floyd only stood toe to toe in the final 5 seconds of the 12th round, and Oscar landed a left hook finally but had none of its pop on it. Oscar throw about 100 more punches than floyd according to Punch stats but believe he threw more than that, considering floyd was just throwing one punch at a time compared to oscars combos. Yea he slowed down the last few rounds which enabled floyd to finally get ahead on the scorecards but oscar was abnormally aggressive for him, constantly trying to get a floyd. He had zero respect for floyds power and it was obvious.

    Floyd 195/476 against guerrero

    Floyd 179/687 against cotto

    canelo/trout 124/431

if Floyd is only fighting 25 seconds of a round then canelito is only fighting 15 seconds a round.

how in the world do people think canelito beat trouts as-s by only throwing 431 punches and landing a measley 124?

    9/14 Floyd vs. Canelito

well if you want to go by compubox(I am a big fan of this system) Floyd outlanded dlh by 207 to 122.

tough to give a fight to a guy that gets outanded by almost twice as many shots and was never hurt nor was ever in trouble of getting knocked down.

I agree, Oscar did lose that fight and agree when you get outlanded by that amount, you should damn well lose the fight. Which is why I get irritated when haters buy into Trinidad or Mosley 2nd fight where Oscar outlanded them by 100+ punches.
I believe Oscar was right there with FLoyd all night though, just Floyd was landing the cleaner more effective punches. I liked Oscar's agression and give him credit for coming forward and making the fight, but it was in a losing effort.
