He sees the writing on the wall, he can't make 154 much longer he is 5'7" he won't do well at middleweight so he sold a myth with canelo, also Televisa a tv giant here in Mexico hyped him to extreme proportions and the casuals ate it up
I don't think canelo sucks but they made him out to be something he is not, he is not a mexican brawler and has gotten a lot of help from televisa, and in my opinion I don't think he will do well at middleweight he just doesn't have the size or power to be a real player at 160, of course he could get some help by sulaiman or something
**** off, Canelo is only 23, he has years ahead of him, it is good that he fought Floyd now, he gains a new experience and fights the P4P #1 before he retires
and also because he is 23 he is gonna grow and won't make 154 easily, he has conditioning issues, size and power problems at the bigger weights, any promoter or knowledgeable boxing fan will tell you this
Anyone who really knows boxing knew this was a marketing fight. Did you really think Canelo had a chance? Floyd gave away ATG status when he didn't fight a prime pacquaio. That was his golden rival and he punked. Now, he'll never get another chance and his fans are in denial.
There is nothing really special about Canelo. He is not a devastating puncher, he does not have a blinding speed, his boxing skill is not exceptional, and his reach is not that long.
I think Canelo is a great fighter and will bounce back but he will most likely never be on a big stage like this in his career and I think Oscar knows that too.
The same can be said for FLoyd! Who is he going to fight next that will even come close to this in PPV terms?
This^ I mean come on guys he outclassed and totally dominated Canelo who is a great champion. It will be really intresting to see how Canelo bounces back from this.
