I’ve been in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and he’s vulnerable … very, very vulnerable. I was surprised at how easy it was. Actually, I was shocked. It was so easy the first half of the fight that I couldn’t believe it. If I would’ve kept up my jab, even doubling or tripling it, it would’ve been an easy fight. Power? I didn’t feel any power from him. Yes, he was fast but it wasn’t overwhelming. It was one of those fights that I lost and he didn’t win. Physically, I just broke down.

I was surprised that I was able to connect with my jab so easily. And he didn’t know what to do after the jab connected. It would stop him in his tracks. I was surprised that in 37 (previous) fights no one could figure that out. The simplest weapon, the easiest one to throw, is the punch that has the most effect on him. He just didn’t know what to do with it. He panics. And when you get him into a panic mode, that’s when you have him.

I think Oscar is manipulating the truth here. One thing is the Vegas judges scoring the fight close; another thing is the performance in the fight.

I recommend anyone to go and watch the fight again *with the volume down* and you'll score the fight easy 8-4 for Floyd.

Oscar has a point. If I ask you who are the top 3 jabbers Floyd has faced in his career you will have a hard time finding good ones. Roger Mayweather has also gone on record saying that Floyd would be beat by a good jab.

Marquez can obvioulsy throw the jab better than most of Floyd's opponents but the jab is far from being his bread and butter.

I'm going to give Oscar the benefit of the doubt and just say that he's promoting the fight and that he isn't completely dilusional.

PBF was hardly even trying. It was a case of preserving his hands and winning rounds.

Not to mention the outrageous stipulations oscar layed down with the ring size, weight, gloves etc.

Its clear Oscar dislikes him and this is why all he ever says about floyd is negative. If he was so easy to hit and was "vulnerable" then oscar should have won the fight. Plain and simple. You can hate the guy as much as you want but you cant deny his talent.

I have always thought this about DLH....... He was good, but not great.

Oscar is dellusional! Manny must of scrambled the Golden Girl's brain. He likes to recant revisionist history (probably to make Mayweather vs Marquez seem more competitive than it will be).

Like the guy above said. Watch the fight without the volume (especially Larry's and Emmanuel's ass kissing) and you'll score a relatively easy unanimous decision for the Pretty Boy

Come on, a good "consistent" jab can beat ANYONE. A jab alone is nothing. Especially when going against someone who know how to make you throw against air. People abandon their jabs in fights ALL THE TIME. This does not make Floyd vulnerable. If he has to adjust to someone using a jab, then it makes him adaptable. The shoulder roll and distance he uses causes people to abandon their jabs. Like Roy. He was so far away and his defense was awkward thus people only threw bundled punches at him. Montel Griffin found a way to throw his unorthodox jab and that offset Roy for a moment but did not make him vulnerable. It made him recommit to a different style. That is why Oscar lost. Floyd adjusted and Oscar did not.

    odlh:
"floyd = vulnerable, easy to hit with jab" ---> he lost to pbf
"pac = punches not strong" ---> quit on his stool

Throwing good hard jab throughout a fight is not easy to do. It tires you. And it tired Oscar. Oscar acts like he just stopped throwing it. :patsch If the fight was so easy and he scroing with the jab early . Why would you stop? REAL answer : fatty Oscar got tired.
