the cheese in my foreskin knows more about boxing than 4 generations of the DAWG family,

maybe i can scrape some of that cheese off so it can go on a talk show with you and your father debating boxing?

besides the sturm fight... im going by whats on paper. Those fights were all close enough to go for hoya or against hoya, which resulted in those controversial scores. besides the sturm fight... from what i REMEMBER sturm pasted him but its been a long time since i seen it.

but i still have him ranked above mosley based on pure accomplishments. The vargas mosley beat was a ghost.

No.. i dont give him a better viewing, if i understand that correctly. its obvious that mosley is a smaller fighter then vargas and thus should get that extra little boost of credit.

But yes... i dont see how anyone can watch the campas, quartey, winky, and tito fights and say that mosley at any stage had better generalship or footwork. Mosley often was flat footed or had an athletic, bouncy stance that you would hardly encourage in any ordinary fighter, it worked for his power boxing style because he is a great athlete with great talent.

he also has no real ability to adapt.... when his speed and overhand rights dont overwelm his opponents, he simply cant outbox them.... becaaaauuse... his footwork, generalship, and overal skill and abillity. when his talent isnt enough, he doesnt really win.

Against campas.... vargas totally defensivly befuddled him while at the same time punishing him, he used the ring great.

Against ike... he had to get past a great jab and instead of being so defensive minded, he imployed a more in close brawling style to negate ikes jab, also often let ike walk into his own power shots, and would shoot one twos right down the middle in sussesion...

against winky, once he realised his power wasnt going to faze winky, he had to rely on his combination punching and workrate to win him rounds.. his body attack and variety of his punches helped keep winky guessing and the 90 punches a round won the rounds.

against tito... after being dropped early, he showed amazing defence until around the 9th round when he just couldnt keep it up anymore... also he couldnt outmuscle tito like he did with ike so he relied on pure counterpunching and ring generalship, picking the perfect times to jump in with his own volleys.

Mosley... against winky, keeps firing his one two with that overhand right... and wide telegraphed body shots that agianst smaller and lesser opponents would look stellar because they would be dropping them, but against opponents that can take them and offer it back, he was left fustrated and with no plan b. he has no real variety... he is a power boxer that relies almost purely on his speed and power, but of course i view him as a great fighter... and its not like its just because of his talent that hes great, great will, chin, ect.... but im just talking skills and ability here.

de la hoya-mosley 2 was a much worse decision than de la hoya-trinidad, i don't know why most people see it the other way.i had trinidad winning by a point

How can u as a boxing fan go based on the record book than to what really happened in the fight?:-( What happened to common sense?

DLH beat Tito, Mosley and Vargas
    Mosley Beat DLH and Vargas
    Tito beat Vargas

if u want to go on the common sense theory then common sense would tell u was given more fights then were supposedly robbed from him. whitaker, sturm, quartey.

By far...biggest robbery of all time was ODLH vs Sweet Pea...at least you can argue the tito-dlh fight...this was a disgrace.

No. Oscar at least won some rounds vs. Sturm, as opposed to Tito being given rounds vs. Oscar.

Uli its quite simple with my stance...

To me... no i DONT think that oscar won the second mosley fight, and unless the fight is a complete robbery, which i dont think the tito fight was, its just been blown up into that... almost every announcer had it close at the time... and even george foreman said there was on way oscar could win the fight running like that.

so unless the fight is like cruz/casa... beyer/lucas... hopkins/forbes.... which are clear and true ROBBERIES... not close fights that just go against a lot of peoples OPINIONS of the fight... i go by the books.

otherwise EVERYONE would have their own version of every ****ing fighter... and thats bull**** that im not giong to deal with in my discussions.

    You have people who

think hes ONLY lost the hopkins fight, and first mosley fight

    You have people who

Think hes lost against ike, sturm, whitaker, tito, mosley twice, hopkins, ect

    When in REALITY

He lost against Tito in a close.. very debatable fight. Everyone knows how the fight went but guess what? if he would have WON THE FIGHT convincingly we wouldnt even be having this discussion.

He lost against mosley twice... second one was very close and a lot of people think he won.

He beat ike quartey in a close fight.... where scoring can go eather way depending on how your scoring it, and some think ike won.

i could go on and on but you get my point...

So i go by the books. because i truly dont believe any of those fights were robberies. that term is so overused.

All were close and could go eather way, he won some and lost some. i for one DONT think he won the second mosley fight... but i see why people can score it for him.
