I see no problem with this. In my opinion The Ring magazine is still the magazine that tell it like it is. There ratings are top notch too.
He's fighting in May so of course he's gonna put himself on the cover...too bad it's at the expense of his Golden Boy partner Bernard Hopkins and the promotion of his fight with Calzaghe. Oscar's a selfish dude.
it looks bad, but in all honesty he would have been on the cover regardless. Magazine publishers want to - follow me on this - sell magazines. Putting the most popular boxer on the cover of a boxing magazine is a not too roundabout way of reaching that end.
Putting himself on the cover is kind of cheesy, but it's true that the writers do show DLH any favortism.
On the back cover is an advertisement on DLH's upcoming autobiography, written with Steve Springer. Still, as I said before, the writing is not biased in Oscar's favor. This issue criticizes (again) both Mayweather and DLH for their rematch, instead of either of them fighting Cotto.
Have you read the article yet? If he's on it for no reason, with no article aboout him that's one thing. But if they have an article, maybe it says why.
