Oscar on First Take "Canelo vs GGG will happen"

I feel it will happen too. I think the issue is that Golovkin and his fans would like to see it as soon as possible. People must keep in mind Canelo has had a good run and is only 26 years old. Hes probably not in any rush. Its just unfortunate that both are at different ages or in different career stages. One desperately wants it. The other is in no hurry. Sort of makes things tough for the fans.

 

Everyone knows that it will happen eventually, there's too much money on the line.

The real problem is when.

Even if Canelo is ducking there will be a time when eventually he will be the favorite or at least have much better chances when GGG gets old.

This will just be Floyd vs Pacman all over again.

 

Yeah sure....as soon as GGG is old enough to break a hip the fight will be made.

 

It's clear what GB is doing but this guy GGG is dumb enough to wait it out with them rather than collect a career high pay day whilst giving Canelo that Kell Brook treatment.

 

GGG's career has been horribly mismanaged. I think he should have just went the Kovalev path and try to get any big fight possible even if he would have to take small purses. Kovalev accepted pathetic purses just to get the fights with Hopkins and Ward.

 

I was naive like a lot of fans, I thought GGG was cut from another cloth and would take a smaller split in order to get the big fights made but slowly I've realised this guy is like all the other fighters he wants to make as much money whilst taking the least risk he doesn't give a **** about legacy. If he did would have got the Ward and Canelo fight made by now.

On the other hand, Krusher whilst being a warrior and someone who really cares about legacy as well as money, is being ****ed over by the Duvas.

 

Oscar has zero credibility.

canelo already gave up a middleweight belt to avoid golovkin. now it's all good, though. just give canelo some time.

You're probably right about the Ward situation but I don't see any way GGG could've gotten the Canelo fight made by now. GBP made it very clear they didn't want it before the fall of 2017, and we saw Canelo fans actually support this move.

GGG and his team are fools too, i said it before if I have a chance to become a star in boxing off of one fight I'm favourite in I'm taking it first chance I get, it's a bonus if I can make '10 MIL' off that fight too.
