Who, out of the two, was more down to fight the absolute best in the divisions they both competed in?

If PAC fights Bud or someone similar I'd put him on level with ODLH. But they were both pretty fearless

That's what I love about Oscar.

He was the golden ticket. May needed him to crossover. Oscar could have faced chumps and gone undefeated and made BILLIONS, yet he ALWAYS put it on the line whenever he fought. A true throwback, IMHO. He didn't need ti face the guys he did, but he wanted to - and he did so without any silly clauses/stipulations.

Rare to find that mix of superstar crossed with fighter, IMHO.

Agreed! He was such a beast and ALWAYS fought the best! Loved every fight he had. Shame he doesn't instill the same values to his "superstar"...:nusenuse:

I think DLH fought more dangerous opponents throughout his career. But I don't think he had a choice in some of the matters. Mainly because back then all the top names were fighting each other. Mayweather has kind of made it everyone's goal now to only fight guys they can easily beat for the most money. The market is saturated though if there is more than one cherry picker per division. Right now there is a lot of guys trying to follow the PBF model but their can only be one. I think this year these guys start fighting each other.

Oscar went above and beyond more often. He fought the best in his division and then went up and took fights nobody expected him to take. Pac did the latter but sometimes skipped a beat in his own division starting with lightweight.
