Hearn picked the judges/paid them off? You really believe that?

Even Hearn confirmed they hit the offer but want a better one!!! You can’t beg for a fight!!!

then turn it down when your making 3 times more than you have ever made!’

The trouble with trying to negotiate with De La Hoya / Alvarez is that with the PPV numbers they get they bring just about everything to the table. If Fast Eddie and Smith play too hard to get, Canelo will just make somebody else rich.
I don't think it's right but there's not much anyone can do about it.

They've both been begging for the fight, when you act like that then you're never going to get the amount you think you deserve.

Here's an idea, if the money is so bad why don't you just fight each other?

Possibly because it wouldn't sell out the Echo Arena without a stacked undercard.

Which GBP are likely very aware of. Canelo has options - literally everyone wants to fight him - so unless you're 'the guy' everyone wants to see him against then you don't have much of a hand really.

Exactly Paddy. To be fair to dear old Rocky from Stocky, he didn't really bother negotiating. He just signed on the dotted line and now he'll probably never have to work again. That was the only way Fielding was ever going to see that kind of money and he knew it.

Saunders-Smith is just a very obvious fight to make to me. Obviously I get why they won't do it, but if you think you've got the beating of the other then your value goes up massively in these negotiations. But if they don't fight then the Canelo option remains open to both. And frankly given both of their last performances I'm not sure how picky they can be.

Totally agree Paddy. My guess is that one of them will blink first and take what is on offer from Golden Boy / Alvarez while it's still on the table.

"Okay, we'll pay you five dollars, then you have to come out, throw nothing but pitter pat jabs for five rounds, and then drop your guard and pretend to get knocked out. What? You won't do it? Well, may I interest you in one of our other fine Canelo fight packages? For this one, you fly to Vegas where Canelo has a bunch of dirty paid off judges waiting. He's been injecting clenbuterol for six months and.. Wait. Where are you going?"

I bet Ryder would have had this fight signed by now. Shame he was robbed.

Why can't they just approach Beterbiev instead?

He will fight for very small money.

A rehydration clause is not an issue for him as he has been IBF champion for a few years now and 10lbs rehydration is something he is used to.

Give AB a call guys, Oscar and Canelo can keep the $$$$$

No idea as to why the fight was turned down (could have been simply Hearn wanting better terms), but it is a fight I'd love to see.
