He did fight GGG twice and beat him once after he fought and beat GGGs best opponent in Jacobs and is now fighting a fighter better than GGG in Kovalev. How about GGG stop begging for a payday and force the action. Why are you ok with GGG fighting no name fighters begging for a shot while avoiding everybody else.. surely you don't think Rolls or Sergy were better fights than a possible fight with Charlo. Based off Canelos history if GGG took on a risky fight and won he'd probably get the third Canelo fight but at no point in his career has he ever taken a risk

 

P4P yeah, Vanes was still a better fighter than Fielding, even inactive. The point is they were both trash fights. Canelo-Fielding is a little less terrible than GGG-Vanes with context but both suck

 

The difference is almost every GGG opponent is on the same level as Vanes and Fielding. Outside of Jacobs which was controversial there is nobody you can argue as being CLEARLY better, Murray's claim to fame is losing to a crippled Martinez who couldn't even run during camp, Geale who got ko'd in more spectacular fashion by Cotto in his next fight, N'Dam a blown up JMW, Brook a guy whose never fought at 154 or 60 and is a career welter.. who are these guys that you can say are clearly better there isn't one. When comparing the 2 Canelo is fighting a guy better than GGG next, fought a guy on par with GGG best wins before that, and fought GGGs best win and beat him in better fashion the fight before that.

No, I disagree strongly on that. Vanes and Fielding are NOT on the same level for starters, not even close. Again I mean levels, not H2H btw. Geale got iced by Cotto in a bad way largely because it was at a catchweight. He moved up in weight for a reason after. The weigh in photos are actually quite funny,. Murray's close fights aside, his win over Bursak alone is better than anything Fielding has done. No idea why you've mentioned N'Dam. Yep Brook I'll hear as an objective fight though P4P Brook is miles better than Fielding.

Canelo has a great resume. Best in the game. You can say that and admit Fielding was a trash fight. He's a domestic level fighter. He took an easy touch to say he had a pretend belt at 168, it is what it is.

TBF they probably are, although Ryder was robbed and it just shows how weak 168 truly is outside of the top 4 fighters.

Fielding is British level at best and just like when he went after Smith at 154, by far the weakest champion.

 

Objectively Fielding isn't a top 5 win for Canelo and would be for GGG. Neither Murray or Bursak has ever beaten anybody good, geale moved up and got knocked out again so how was it the weight P4P Brook has 1 good win in his career and arguably lost that fight vs Porter. There is NOBODY on GGGs resume outside of Jacobs that you can say is CLEARLY better than Fielding
