The thing is I'm not disputing that Fielding is a basic domestic level fighter, the point being is Fielding is basically the level of EVERY GGG fight. Who has Lemiux beaten that was any good? Or Monroe or Murray, all of those guys are sub elite fighters that haven't done a thing in the sport yet GGG is praised and made out to be some type of great for facing these trash fighters.

Do you measure every fighter with the stick?

If anyone is justified for taking a tune up in between huge fights its fighters who are constantly taking big challenges.

Fighters who always have a way of getting out of the big challenges or who flat out avoid them get more justifiably get more flack.

With that said, name three fighters with better resumes than Canelo Alvarez.

Oh, and btw, the Josesito fight was completely justified since Canelo was supposed to right Ortiz but Josesito broke his jaw.

They where all legit top 10/15 guys in a much deeper division.

The fact a guy like Fielding can grab a title at 168 proves my point.

Look at the guys like Uzacategui (sp) who was totally dominated by Korobov then jumped 8lbs and destroys Dirrell, the same Dirrell who arguably beat Froch.

Another example is Rubio who was whipped out in two by GGG, then in his next fight went to 168 and went the full 12 with Anthony Dirrell a former and future 168 champ.

168 is pretty weak, Fielding was a very weak champion who’s not even the best in his own country let alone top 10 material.

Wasn't justified at all, it was another smaller guy brought up for Canelo, Lopez was and is a 147 fighter.

Who was Khan a tune up for? The big Liam Smith fight?

A champion is a champion bro. As long as a title is up for grabs you take the opportunity.

You're trying to compare a top 10 SMW titlist to Vanes and Roles who weren't even ranked.

If Roles was a champion, as crappy as the opponent is in terms of boxing ability, you wouldn't be able to knock on Golovkin since he's fighting someone with a title.

With that said, I don't consider Canelo a SMW champion, just like I didn't consider Pacquiao a LW champion, or I don't count GGGs 10 title defenses of his WBA regular champion belt.

But if you do count those 10 title defenses for GGG, then I have to count Canelo as a three division champion. You GGGoons can't use double standards and not get called out on it.

    It’s Rolls.

And no I’m not Rolls was a gimme, but Vanes despite his layoff was still P4P much better than Fielding and this shouldn’t be disputed, hell inactive Vanes is far better than glass chinned inactive Kirkland.

Both fighters have had lesser fights yet you don’t seem to want to acknowledge Canelo’s.

He’s been in big fights?, so what he’s meant to have been, just like GGG, the only difference being GGG was avoided like the plague until age and slippage was apparent and this is the truth along with the despicable act of Cotto and Canelo defending a 160 title at 155, draining true 160 fighters in the process.

    lol

How long have you followed boxing??

You need to stop making yourself look like a fool.

When you name three fighters fighting right now that have a better resume than Canelo's I will continue this specific debate with you. Until then you can follow me to another topic.

Vanes, despite being a Super welterweight, despite losing in his last fight, and despite being inactive/retired was P4P higher than a top 10 SMW?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Gotta be realistic here about Canelo,he’s hardly gonna draw up a list of everyone in their prime and take them over Kovalev who is still very much at the top.
He’s smart as nobody else can just pick and choose like him as they’re not floating between divisions but of late I couldn’t begin to criticise his opponents such as Jacobs and now Kovalev.
Were he fighting at Middleweight he’d be fighting Derevchenko of that I’m sure and as for Andrade lol he’s said himself he’s done nothing and is boring. Not entirely sure why Canelo fans don’t appreciate this and expect Golovkin to think any different about Andrade?

Thread title#Canelo buys a new pair of underpants and takes dog for walk.

Five posts down the line.......Golovkins taste in underpants is as bad as his last performance and his dog can go f*** itself.
Sure I’ve read it all before from both sides.

You only asked me that question 1 post ago, why are you trying to act like I’ve been avoiding anything?

Canelo has one of the best resumes out there currently, but Pacquaio’s is far better.

Usyk whilst not having a deeper record has a better cruiser weight record than that of prime fighters than Canelo has arguably had at 154/160.

Also, GGG got shafted in both fights, although the record books say otherwise.

Because their resumes are night and day.

One fighter has only 4 fights left with DAZN and has already wasted one, possibly two if he fights this nobody next leaving him with three more. Does not have much time left.

The other fighter has time on his side, has been conceding many things to lure top opponents to fight him, has arguably the best resume in the sport and can and does fight the opponents the fans want.

PACs resume is ridiculous for the fact that the majority are either prime, bigger in size and 1st class fighters.Doubt it was by design but still his resume is always worth reading again and again and he’s still writing it lol.
