Why though? Are they really trying to milk Floyd for every single penny? If they got caught, you don't think they'll say f that last possible fight.. We're going to clear our names and make a new "Money".. It's weird that they love Floyd and will cheat every fight for him even when Oscar was the man and not replace him with a new man.. That's how it works.. You don't ride until the wheels fall off.. You ride until it has signs of slowing down, sell it, and find a new better one.. Unless you think they will start flying right now that Floyd is gone...
I scored Oscar/Floyd a draw (Oscar won 2/3/4/6/7/ 8 ). One judge gave him 12 as well, scoring the fight to Oscar. It was a very close fight, despite some of the nonsense I see on here. I have no problem with the official result. If I scored it a draw and one guy ends up with the SD, then no robbery. So Oscar DID NOT beat Floyd. Other points: Oscar was in decline and Floyd was still improving. An earlier version of Oscar, say 1999 version, would probably have left little doubt. The fight was at 154, a weight Floyd had no business being at. If they had fought at 130 ( the best versions of each man) Floyd would probably have won a decisive UD. So all in all, when they met, Floyd DID win and ranks overall higher than Oscar. Final point: Oscar is correct in saying that Floyd is not the best ever.
I wouldn't have any arguments over a draw ...I honestly think Oscar 's body attack wasn't scored well at times
Oscar also says Canelo would've whipped him in their respective primes. Most of what Oscar says nowadays should be taken with a tablespoon or so of salt (not foremost among the white powders with which Oscar is familiar)
35yr old, shot, alcoholic, coke blasting Oscar won 6rds. The prime young Oscar who fought Tito would dominate and abuse Floyd at 135, 140,147, 154lbs - however you want it.
I have to agree with Oscar, I had that fight 7-5 for Oscar, but Roid Mayweather's judges were there. I remember Oscar knocking Roid's head back like a speed bag with his jab, and that was an over-the-hill Oscar...........................Castillo also beat Roid......................
I remember him saying in regard to this 'I got old.' Explaining the decision. Perhaps he meant that in a different sense.
It was a close close fight but I think Mayweather won. In addition, we all know that Oscar was way beyond his prime which shows how great of a fighter ODLH was.
It was a close fight. A draw would have been a fair verdict. I remember going through all this at the time. People who score it 8 or 9 rounds for Floyd start giving him rounds as soon as he starts landing jabs on Oscar's gloves, and tend to ignore Oscar's punches to Floyd's body.
