Hmmm... 900k vs 150k, roughly 80/20, consider Golovkin's popularity and how the opponent makes the match, I'd say 70/30 in favor of Canelo is good. Ballpark figures.

They made profit off the event, but to the public eye who really don't care or put much thought into the politics of boxing it looks Horrible, absolutely Horrible. No way around it.

im praying for the fight to not happen? please...I could care less....I hope it does happen.....I just laugh when ggg fans tell him he shouldn't bend on a weight for canelo.....he/you guys need to accept what it is.....

I honestly don't care if canelo gets his face rearranged....or leaves on stretcher......I consider canelo/ggg a legit fight unlike ggg/cotto.....I hope it happens.....but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesnt

 

Maybe it looks horrible but it's not. Horrible is something that completely flops (in respects to what is expected) and they lose loads of money off the event, that didn't happen, by all accounts it was a moderate success and their expectations in the first place were conservative.

At best you can say it was underwhelming if they perhaps thought it'd be a much bigger success.

 

You couldn't care less that's why all you do is talk about GGG, at least be real with yourself LOL.

You don't want it to happen because you want to continue your fantasy of GGG fighting "cans" and with Canelo that would cease to be the case, the only way you hope it happens is if it does at a catchweight and maybe GGG would get drained or something. You're more transparent than you think.

when I said I could care less I meant what happens if they fight.....I don't care if canelo gets murdered.....I don't really consider myself a fan of his...I don't hate him....but Im not really a fan

you see this is what you fail to realize....ggg has everything....great skills....nice guy...very fan friendly style....the guy should be loved and adored by everyone....and yet he still has haters...not because of race....but because his resume lacks, he makes boasts he wont stand by and his fans are super annoying ....but you guys cant recognize that and always point fingers and claim all hate is irrational.....

People don't care about that, they just see what was raked in and make their own conclusion based off that and believe me they dont care about the politic side of boxing, 150k PPV buys is awful. That's less than Vitali's first PPV that was considered a flop. And The only people who care about the profit of the event therfore making claims the event was a success are the people on the boxing forums who happen to support GGG. That's the reality of the situation.

GGG doesn't fight cans, maybe his resume doesn't warrant the hype, wouldn't argue against that but I don't think anyone will take you very seriously if you say Canelo is a "can", the whole tirade stops with him. You see I know you don't want it at 160 and that's the reason, your only hope is that if it does happen, it's at 155 and there's a chance that GGG will not be at his full potential that night and gets beat.

Wouldn't surprise me if you were one of the guys calling for him to get DQ'd against Lemieux as well, the lengths people will go to just to see this guy get beat is something else lol.
