gggs percentage split will likely be less than 15 mil guaranteed....and its not guaranteed...its just a percentage split...thus Oscar now carries less risk if he doesn't give guarantee...Oscar basically winning

Personally i cant see ODLH risking his money tree after one performance. Especially since only GGG haters think it was poor. Most with boxing knowledge will say it was a good performance against a bigger, rangier boxer. I think it will be another can kicking job, low ball offer. They will want to make sure that GGG is slipping.

If GGG is not injured or cut after June's fight then Oscar will get shredded if Canelo fights someone else in September.

Mad respect for Oscar and Canelo for willing to do whatever it takes to get the fight done.
In an age where fighters use purses to duck other fighters, Canelo is a breathe of fresh air for a true boxing fan. He gave Floyd, Cotto, and now probably GGG whatever they wanted just to get them to fight him. Falkin badass!!

All while we have fighters with lots of hype but no real top wins complaining about money fight after fight.

We cant blame Golovkin though, he is taking care of his future. GGG will likely lose to the younger, faster, mire skilled Canelo and I'm sure he knows it, so he needs this to be his biggest money fight by far because as it is GGG does terrible numbers, a loss would destroy his marketability considering he is marketed as unbeatable.

At the end of the day, what we truly care is that the fight os made and we see both men square off in the ring.

 

I don't think this fight breaks 1 million PPV.
Gate 20 million?
70 x 1 million = 70 m / 2 = 35 million PPV rev
55 million from gate and PPV
15/55 million = 27 percent

At 1.5 million (very optimistic)
105 million / 2 = 52 million
20 gate + 52 = 72 million
72 m x.27 = 20 million

So at 1.5 million PPV buys, if GGG has 27 percent split he makes 20 million.

 

Yeah, it's virtually impossible to promote a fight with three months of TV and advertising and HBO specials. With only three months to tell the world about a fight most are aware about, how will ANYONE know where to tune in to!!!
