It says that Oscar is trolling the Jnr Welters... I take it there would be a catch weight... the named fighters, I think, would get trounced in the 147-154s... Do you think Oscar can make it down to 140... What are your guys thoughts on the proposed tune-ups and at what weight do you see these fights happening to make it as interesting as possible.

Can Gatti be called a blown up jr. welter? If so, he last faced a jr. welter in 2001, though it was at 147.

I think a decent tuneup could be Alex Bunema atleast hes a legit Welterweight or Junior Middleweight. Why Oscars wants to face some Junior Welters is beyond me I thought he was above that.

I don't think it would be Bunema. He hits too hard for the Golden Boy. Rumor has it he was asked to leave a de la hoya training camp a few years back for being a little too aggressive during sparring.

 at Oscar getting back down to 140.

He won't even get back down to 147 for Mayweather's title.

Me neither, but HBO already approved Cotto-Gomez.

Wont be Gomez as he is scheduled to fight Cotto the week before. As the May 3rd tune up won't be PPV it wouldn't suprise me if it was Steve Forbes it won't be a big name as it isn't needed to sell PPV's and the idea is for Oscar to get a convincing win.

It's all business to set up the rematch with Mayweather.

Look good on regular HBO against an undersized opponent, and get people thinking the rematch will be a better fight this time around.

The fact that it is not on PPV tells me that......................OSCAR IS FIGHTING A CLASS "A" MUG......since when has Oscar EVER wanted to give the people a FREE show

Probably because no network will have it as a PPV as the opponent will be so discraseful

I think Manny will be an opponent the Goldenboy is thinking about....he will have atleast 8 weeks to recover from the Juan beat & fights for peanuts anyway!
