Oscar won this really clearly IMO Shane made it close in the end but I had it 8-4 or 7-4-1 for Delahoya, clearer than I had the Trinidad fight actually (7-5 Oscar) HBO figured this was in the bag for Oscar. Oscar gracious in defeat as usual :yep

I had it 7-5 for Oscar..... I aint saying Oscar didnt win that fight what I am saying is it was closer than people say and Mosley winning a close fight is not a robbery

I certainly don't see how it could have went for Shane. It was as clear as Shane's first W over Oscar

That was really weird. Not all the writers, but a good majority of the press who were actually at the fight got it wrong. I hear the Shane went to the body.. and he did, but no where near enoug to get the decision. Shane didn't even believe he won.

Shane's father told him before the last round that he needed a knockout to win as well.

Yup! I even believe Merchant asked if he thought he won and said he was surprised.....but quickly pointed to Oscar's popularity as to why he was surprised to have won after the 12 rounds were up.

Yea, shane and his dad were quick to backpeddle what was said and how they were feeling once they were awarded a lucky decision. It would have been admirable for Shane to atleast admit it was super close and felt uneasy about the verdict. Instead resort back to, "nah I knew I won" when the whole world just saw him **** his pants as he was announced the winner.

The HBO bias in the Mosley-DLH rematch was nauseating.
HBO bias at its very hardcore finest!!! :barf

In a poll of 28 sportswriters at ringside, 16 scored it for Mosley, eight for De La Hoya and four had it as a draw.

The Associated Press had Mosley winning 116-113.

HBO greatly influences even the media who watches at home, but writes articles on the fight anyways. Those are the ones that lean heavily toward DLH beating Mosley in a rematch, those that watched at home with HBO's sound on.

As I noted above, the vast majority of sportswriters and fans at ringside that night scored for Mosley. I remember reading articles the week following the fight of journalist from press row disgusted with HBO's bias.

Word from press row was that Mosley's connects were heavy, and that DLH's was heard to be grunting and making noises from the shots he was taking from Mosley.

Break it up break it up, close this thread. No robbery here folks.
    Go on now, scoot!!! :D

Oscar paid off the associated press to score it in Shane's favour that's why. Oscar needed Shane to win for the good of his company.
