De La Hoya vs. Pryor at 140. Who do you got and why? This is the Oscar right before he fought Whitaker.
DLH just too good technically and physically for Pryor... DLH is a proven ATG fighter, while Pryor is also great, yet, also questionable in the long road... WORD! MR.BILL I'm thinking 1996 DLH against 1982 Pryor... DLH wins here... Cheerio...
I have DLH, but I would love to see how Oscar could handle the constant and relentless pressure. I don't think he ever faced someone like that at the lower weights. It would be like an amped-up Mosley. The reach, jab and hook win it for Oscar late. I was thinking the Pryor of '80. By '82, he started to decline and party too much imo.
I'd take Pryor...tentatively though. ODLH gets underrated on classic usually. I think Pryor does just a little too much a little too well and too durable to get stopped while doing it.
We've seen what DLH does to guys that come straight at him. That version of Oscar is sharp and to be respected. DelaHoya UD.
:huhPryor had his most successful yrs in 1982 and '83..:deal '85 was lackluster... Pryor was lucky to beat a passive Hinton over 15 controversial rds.... MR.BILL
Pryor for me, i don't think Oscar would deal with such a good fighter who is constantly bringing the heat.
I think DLH desicions him. I think Pryor is a bit overrated and DLH quite a bit underrated on here. DLH is faster than Pryor and has enough power, skill and chin to match Aaron. He also is the bigger man. The only advantage Pryor has here is his workrate but I cen see him getting beaten to the punch by the faster Oscar.
