Absolutely, I got it wrong. I thought that an old, shot, 7 years past his best De La Hoya was gonna beat Pac, purely on the weight advantage.

I still thought, even when I wrote that, that De La Hoya was shot. He just was. Watch the fight, it was a beatdown like Tyson getting hammered by Lewis. Except Tyson actually won a round...

If Hoya was weight drained... it's his fault so put the blame on him, Fighters should make the weight with precision and care.

If Hoya was past his prime... blame him. Pac came in 101%, Hoya signed the contract. He should have trained more harder.

If Hoya was shot... blame him why he took the fight.

When he fought Trinidad he was at his peak I believe, he boxed his ears off and won 8 rounds to 4 and thats a prime Tito we are talking about. He was still in his prime when he beat Vargas and thats when he started declining. He still gave Mosley two very hard fights possibly even edging him in the rematch. He was past his prime against Mayweather but not shot otherwise Mayweather would have dominated him, with Pac it was just a bad stylistic matchup and perhaps he wasnt well prepared for that fight.

 you're a clown! Yet he was able to take Floyd 12 hard, close and competitve rounds. Find anther hobby or one that you actully know something about b/c you obviously don't know boxing....that or you are just a bit ******ed. In that case you have a pass.:yep

Did you read my other post. Incase you didn't here it is:

In my opinion the condition of a fighter impacts hugely on the future review of a fight. Would those people who had ODLH as favorite still back him knowing that his nutritionist had used techniques old and outdatted and that Oscar was in 'THAT' condition.

    I personally don't think so.

My point exactly. Oscar had not been legit top 10 P4P for YEARS before the PAC fight. The only reason anyone was picking him was the weight difference, because everyone knew that as a fighter he was ****ED YEARS AGO!

I dont think he was shot he is just getting old and is a parttime fighter.

Old and past it but definetly not shot.Good win for Pac although it was a shell of Oscar that we saw in there.
