he claims he saw the iv in his arm. i believe this was when he went in for the wraps, the night of the fight.

maybe it was just a gamblers story but it was on a boxing gambling website i read that had the large roach bet.

as a gambler, i will tell you 100 percent that if i saw a fighter getting iv fluids the night of a fight i would certainly bet agaisnt him if he was fighting a capable opponent.

i didnt see any needles in oscars arms when he entered the ring that night.

as for making a bet, theres bookies that can move bets around like a stockbroker at the nyse.

Roach says a lot of things kid. Not all turn out to be true but if it were....DLH, Nacho...nor anyone from their camp ever confirmed this story. DLH didn't even say anything about being drained for the fight until years later when he was trying to give Ortiz a pep talk before his fight with Floyd.
