Ok....needle marks could have been for anything. ....not just for rehydrating. And that's if you take Roach's recollection of what he thinks or believes he saw.

My only question is why didn't anyone else see those "needle marks"? And why hasn't anyone corroborate that story? It's a pretty big story NOT to have been revealed in some capacity other than from the originator of the tale.

If you believe that DLH was on an IV drip based on a 50+ year old boxing trainer, who requires prescription glasses to see then God bles you son.....but If the math don't add up, then I'm not buying it.

Oh.....and the sky can look many different colors kid....not just blue and starring long enough at the sky wouldn't have any effect on what color it happens to be. Not sure how you thought that would help your argument but it was amusing.

"The only thing Beristain said that I support was that De La Hoya couldn't deal with the versatility of Pacquiao. Roach is right: Taking nothing away from Pacquiao, the weight killed De La Hoya that night. What's more, Roach said, upon seeing De La Hoya run at the same track Pacquiao ran at, that De La Hoya's face was drawn and he had trouble getting around the track because of weight. He also said De La Hoya's nutritionist failed him; that he thought De La Hoya was trying to prove a point by coming in at a lower number than Pacquiao; and that following the fight, he got reports from doctors that De La Hoya was dehydrated both before and after. Oh, how I wish I'd listened to myself when it came prediction time..."

He was making sure he that HE MAKES THE WEIGHT. 145 was his safety measure so he won't fail to make weight during the proper weight-in. For what I remember, he was @ 145 for more than 3 weeks. I don't think he was gonna re-hydrate to more than 3-4 lbs in a single day/night.

Wasn't there one of those large weight penalties attached to this? Roach even claimed the scales were rigged and Pac weighed a few pounds more on the scale in the hotel than he did at weigh in.

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao was sure he was at 146 pounds for the final weigh-in.

So it surprised him to see he came out four pounds lighter.

Pacquiao tipped the scales at 142 pounds, way off the weight he and his team were expecting.

"Yes, a little bit of a surprise. Seems the scale got calibrated," Freddie Roach told Manila-based journalists inside the press room on Friday after the weigh-in.

Shortly after the weigh-in, Pacquiao went back to his room and used a different scale. He came in at 145.5 pounds, the same weight he had in the morning after breakfast, according to Roach.

Pacquiao was amazed at the difference, disclosing the night before and just an hour before the official weigh-in that he both checked in at 146 pounds.

my personal belief is that oascar trained down to 147 being his actual walking around weight!. As opposed to getting down to say 154/155, and draining his body of iquid for the rest.

He just trained down to that weight. I'm sure he says on 24/7 that he made weight like 3 or 4 weeks before the fight.

They never trained to be the bigger guy. They trained for speed and to outbox.

yes he saw that when they were all in the ring together.

Mad? C'mon turb.....I thought you knew me better than that? I just have no problems getting out my thoughts and to get others to think critically. Even if it means I ruffle some feathers.

And weather you know my handle on ESB as KU99 or JD99, I still stay consistent with my message. I've been around ESB since 2000 and most who've been around know that neither handle is my original ESB screen name.

But is it me who is really mad? Or is it you? We all know your man is Oscar. ......he's one of my all time favorites too. But you are one of those boxing fans who can't take it when your man loses or gets caught banging strippers while dressed up as one.

You are heated DLH finally got dominated and that's why you won't give Pac any props. And it's not just that you won't give Manny any respect....you now go out of your way to try and discredit him. To the point you all the sudden become a quasi Floyd fanatic. Damn......I'm ****in good.

It was obvious a secret catch weight for 145 pounds, why would Manny obliterate Oscar at 147 pounds allegedly then request Cotto to weigh in at 145, the same 145 Oscar coincidentally weighed in at.................................
