http://www.thesweetscience.com/columnists/ron-borges/6179-roach-to-oscar-go-over-147-itll-cost-ya Above Roach said if Oscar comes in at 150 then no fight and that he will be fined for every pound over 147. Why would Roach even allow that to come out his mouth if 147 was the agreed upon weight, IMO he clearly splipped up about the rehydration weight here, and then tried to cover his tracks. People dont you think its weird that Oscar weighed no more than 147 on fight night, the same 147 he would have been fined if he weighed a pound over, who's to say the fight didnt have a same day weigh clause in the contract.................
Oh my god Margarito gained 17 lbs on fight night! How about oh my god Pac gained 15 lbs on fight night against Marquez in the rematch :yep
Of course this is regarding the official weigh in, as the other poster says. But for the sake of an argument: Do you understand that such rehydration clause cannot be medically sanctioned in this country? And why wouldn't DLH max out the supposed rehydration limit, if that was the only thing stopping him from blowing up?
There has been exactly ONE documented attempt at a rehydration clause....and ironically enough, it came from floyd's camp when there were talks w/ a fight w/ Winky Wright at 154. :deal
Just cause it dont get mentioned doesnt means it doesnt happen, being that a upcoming Floyd even suggested it, should let people know it happens more than often
Actually Cotto tried a 160 rehydration limit vs Marg, together with 150 CW. The only thing he got was a 153 CW. What's extra unusual is that he was defending his belt, not moving up. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/6921196/miguel-cotto-wrangles-catchweight-antonio-margarito
Laugh all you want. http://www.sptimes.com/2005/07/22/Sports/Wright_Mayweather_bou.shtml http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2113721 :deal
look Mike...this is just you forming your own conclusion about something out of nothing at all, but your own "hunch".
I remember that......Any rehydration clause goes directly against the safety measures of the state athletic commission where any sanctioned fight is taking place.
I think in principle you can get it sanctioned, but not something ridiculous like 2lbs, that'd be highly unsafe. Cotto tried 10lbs, thats reasonable
LOL Oscar was 10 years past his prime, weight drained, even looked like he was sick. This is what oscar looked like when he was prime: This content is protected This is oscar vs. pac This content is protected Look at much softer the body is at the same weight, how pale he is, oscar never had a pale face. The prime pic, look at how ripped and strong he looks compared to vs pac.
