Oscar was very ordinary tonight , I can't see him beating maywheather, cotto, margarito, he lost his punch, I would even pick Zab judah to beat dlh after tonight

I think he can beat someone like Margarito who would expose himself to a big left hook. He certainly has a punchers chance against Cotto. Mayweather is his big money fight, but this is exactly the wrong style for an old (or even young) Oscar.

Forbes wasn't a push over.. Forbes has never been knocked down before.. Oscar looked good.. Didn't look tired at all and was loose.. I think the Floyd/DLH could be even closer the second time if Oscar sticks with his jab..

He hasnt lost his punch Forbes is really good fundementally and isnt open for head shots unless he takes risk which he rarely did.

I think after tonight he knows deep down he got no chance against mayweather who`ll be rubbing his hands together right now.

It was a (slightly) glorified sparring session, he looked good given the circumstances.

At this point, I'd take Vernon Forrest over De La Hoya at 154 and Mayweather, Cotto over him at 147. Decisevely at that.

De La Hoya totally outlcassed Forbes and put a good amount of leather on him, but Forbes wasn't anything close to elite at 150. You obviously have to take that into account. He was too small to really get anything done offensively and was forced to reach with his shots because he couldn't get in close. De La Hoya could throw combinations and let his hands go because he wasn't worried about what Forbes delivered back. But regardless, Forbes landed some quality shots and De La Hoya's face wasn't exactly scratch-free.

Maybe he should have looked better against him than Floyd looked against Hatton. Oscar gets no credit for beating a small contenders fighter.
