Exactly, I wish they could give Forbes, Floyds pursue because he fought more like a warrior, even though he was getting whoop
Forbes just fought a hell of a fight and obviously didn't show up to lose. Forbes showed a Hellacious chin too, as Oscar was letting loose with some bombs. Oscar looked nice and loose, with power, and didn't show no signs of gassing in the stretch. I'm proud of both fighters all things considered, and usually I can't stand ODH. Forbes was able to inflict quite a bit of damage to Oscars face too.
Definitely. I said it during the fight that Forbes didn't come to run. He came to fight and made a good account of himself. Nice to see he still has that '0' in the 'knockdowns against' category. Very tough guy.
Right on brooklyn!!:good To be honest, before the fight I really figured Forbes was just coming for the pay day, but he gave it his all, against a lock hall of famer to boot. Oscar's face wasn't pretty either when it was done.
His face was just fine, show any fighter in the world that face as how he would look after the fight and they would be absolutely thrilled. People are making a big deal out of absolutely nothing.
Every fight DLH now makes looks like a boring sparring session. No drama life or excitement is it because Hoya wont let it all hang out! he may not have knocked Forbes out but I was almost out cold by rd 8! I was so bored
I am no Mayweather nuthugger, but when he fought the top 140 pounder he won impressively by outclassing Hatton. Oscar fights a top 20 140 pounder and he wins a tough fought UD. You could see in Oscars face after the fight that not even he was that pleased with his performance tonight.
No but KO a guy who was handpicked to make you look good a smaller lightweight with 9 ko's on his rec handpicked probably by Mayweather Sr to in effect get KTFO and make DLH look like a threat to PBF. I think even Oscar knows the jigs up.
it's good to see that even though Forbes lost he is given credit for standing up to the bigger DLH. Floyd was never the aggressor against Oscar, Forbes got my respect.
The fight was at a good pace I thought Oscar was going to gas out, suprisingly he didn't. It was mor competitve than what i expected. better than a heavy weightfight. better than BHOP and CAL!, no slapping punches, faking low blows, constant holding,...
If he sincerely thinks he can beat mayweather he is delusional. He hasn't looked impressive in ages, and to think he can beat mayweather of all people is ludicrous.
Oscar completely shut out a game Forbes after yet another year of inactivity... and this means that Oscar can't beat any top Welterweight anymore?:huh I would say that this is EXACTLY the sort of fight that an inactive Oscar needed in order to sharpen his skills, and get himself into top condition for a rematch with Mayweather. It would have done absolutely nothing for Oscar to go in there and blow him away in a round or two. Forbes fought with a lot of heart, and has a great chin. Oscar allowed Forbes to hit him several times in order to try and catch him with a big counter, but Forbes was game and didn't go down, even after eating some serious shots. That wasn't Oscar's lack of power, that was Forbes great chin. You could practically see Oscar shaking the ring rust off.
This may be all true Widdow, but I did not see a fighter in there that can beat Mayweather. And after all was said and done, that was the whole point of the fight.
