Why then do the Canelo camp point blank refuse to fight GGG at 160. In a 100% fair fight with no Vegas interference allowed. I guess Pollo is too big now wasnt long ago he was too small. GGG is STILL a 160 fighter

i suspect its because ggg doesnt offer anything canelo cant find at 168, where canelo says he feels most comfortable. and i imagine canelo welcomes any chance at sprinkling salt in the wounds. im absolutely sure canelo has no fear of ggg and is convinced he would stop him. the rest is gamesmanship and setting grounds for negotiations.

Because Canelo's career doesn't revolve around GGG. Canelo moved up to 160 and fought him to a draw, offered a rematch and beat the **** out of him Mexican style.

Canelo moved on to do great things, GGG took a nine month recovery break, and has done nothing since.

If GGG wants Canelo then GGG needs to man the **** up and earn his shot and move up to Canelo's division.

yes, and when he fights them, there will be others trotted on in to replace them. and we can put those on the shelves with lara, and trout, and ggg.... see, i look at the situation from canelos perspective, cause ultimately thats who has the final word. my personal feelings have no sway in the unfolding of reality, so i dont include them in my assessment.

This fight was turned down a few years back by the commission if I remember correctly.

Turned down why? A few years ago would have been very early for Munguia vs a sharper GGG but I wouldn't rate it the worst mismatch of any recent year.

That's why it was turned down he was seen as too young and inexperienced and the commission wouldn't sanction it.

This is a good point and one I threw around in the past. I figured they would throw him to Alvarez, however, because that would be a good sell and both were under the banner. Now that Alvarez has departed, Golden Boy has to cash him out before he gets upset. Munguia has struggled more than expected in just about every fight since his victory over Ali, so it is only a matter of time before he takes his first loss. Golovkin is a good option because of it, but Golden Boy could shop him to Murata and make good money in a more winnable fight.

Yeah Commision aka Oscar...One thing about Oscar he's no mug & don't the same mistake twice....ie he let one of his young golden boys get absolutely spanked by Floyd so he ain't letting GGG join in as well so he became the voice of the commision lol

Munguia doesn't even have a shot at beating Murata.

    GGG is stepping it up!!

at least Mungo is a name brand established Tecate beer Can to add to his collection of generic beer cans.

It will be a fun fight.

    it should look
    Something like Mosley vs Margarito.

    guess who’s “margarito”!?
