i could count on 1 hand the number of fighters who i think handled everything controversy free. no accusations of shenanigans ever. half the greats we compare these guys to, were straight juicers. thats why i give it the importance it deserves, in that context. as far as favorable judging goes, which face of boxing before him didnt benefit from that? couldnt it be possible, that these judges, just like half this forum, cant separate their feelings from their assessments?
when it comes to canelo, i gave him crap for the failed test. but i also took into account what the supplement does, and it wouldnt make a difference inside the ring. how he ingested it doesnt matter to me, theres no excuse. aside from that incident, he has gone far out of his way to clear his name and has gotten much better as a fighter under strict testing.
the judging i dont even bother with, it has no bearing on what i see or feel about a fighter. people expect these judges to be as knowledgeable about the intricacies of boxing as the nerds here, and the large majority arent. they also have only one vantage point with multiple obstructions, whereas we have 360 views of everything. and finally, they are no less fanboys of fighters as you can find here.
after taking all that into account, and watching canelo perform in the situations he is performing in, i have to conclude that he is operating at a level very few fighters out there can match. im enjoying watching him work.

I like the fight. JM is #9 and we all know it’s gonna be entertaining.

GGG’s jab is gonna piece JM up.

Not GGG’s fault. The commission shot it down.

GGG wouldn't mind fighting another former 154 fighter.

They must feel GGG has aged enough for Mungiua to beat him. Possible, but I favor GGG in that one, if it takes place but I see no benefit for GGG to take the fight.

The ghost of Kov isn’t going to destroy any legit fighters anymore. Might destroy a couple bottles of vodka.

Yeah sure even tho GGG is nearly 40 yrs old Canelo STILL hasnt got the balls to give him a fair fight away from the Vegas corruption. If I was GGG I'd tell him to stuff it where Oscar reportedly stuffed his kitchen utensils. The fans know the truth & thats why GGG will always be regarded as better than Canelo & therefore more popular
