    if Arum didn't put him in with easy touches. Imagine if he'd fought an unheralded Shane Mosley at 135. Stevie Johnson even!

    That Argentinian isnt even close to anyone of those guys. Ortiz should have beat this guy. He was there to be gotten all night. Ortiz just got caught with a bunch of hayemakers. Then they got the ref from homedepot, who allowed the guy to rabbit punch Ortiz' ass off.

    It was a terrible display of the sort of boxing ability I know this kid has.

    Top Rank manages fighters better than Golden Boy. That cannot be disputed.

    He fought Jeff Mayweather in his 5th fight, a month after his 20th birthday, got his world title just after just 12 fights. At 27 fights, where Ortiz is at, DLH was already a 5-time, 4-division champion, beat P4P#1 Pernell Whitaker, Julio Cesaer Chavez, Jorge Paez, Genaro Hernandez, Jesse James Leija, Rafael Ruelas, John John Molina, Miguel Angel Gonzalez and Hector Camacho, all reigning or former champions.

    I actually I like the way Golden Boy promotes. They give their fighters great exposure, especially with HBO in their back pocket.

    Managing fighters though, Golden Boy obvously isn't as experienced as Top Rank. Putting your fighters in good fights, where they can showcase their abilities.. balancing out the risk vs reward... That takes good management.. and Top Rank definitely has them beat.

    Five years into his career (which is where Ortiz is at), De La Hoya faced a top 3 LW in Ruelas, three of the top junior lightweights (Hernandez, Leija, Molina) moving up, two legends in Whitaker and Chavez, and an undefeated Gonzalez.

    That's not exactly "soft".

    No, you sound stupid. He fought Chavez years after the Taylor fight. Did he really beat Whitaker???? Camacho was finished as well. You're the same guy whio thinks Marciano beat a prime Joe Louis right? Paez, Leija, Molina, and Gonzalez were solid fighters but did they have any power to starch a B level guy. Get a clue. Mosley beat De La Hoya coming up 12 lbs in doing so the fight fight. You imagine what would have happened to De La Hoya at 135 against him. Open your eyes

    Oscars legacy should not be questioned. The man faced the who's who in boxing trough out his career. He was a phenom in his young age.

    Dude, shut up. The fight would be great at 135 yes cuz Mosley was a beast but so was Oscar at this weight. I would actually prefer they had fought at 135 than at 147 because they were both so ferocious at that weight but its a dead even fight.
