Oscar's 4-5 inches of height advantage will be a disadvantage with the Left Hook.

IMO if the fight goes to distance PAc will win on points coz DLH will run out of gas...

IMO also, this fight will be more interesting that the DLH vs PBF fight wherein all rounds were calculated that nobody really wanted an exchange of blows...that fight was too cautious that made the fight more of a hype that the actual was was actually boring!

PAC will give another interesting fight! Thats for sure! Yes, he could be knocked out but for sure he is not the road runner type!!!!:thumbsup

Oscar doesn't like throwing the hook on a plane, at least to try knock somebody out. He said it always hurt his hands when he lands so he couldn't commit throwing at full force and leverage. He found out that if he cocked his hook at an upwards angle, it didn't hurt as much and that he could really load up and do some serious brain scrambling with it. He calls it his 45 (after the 45 degree angle of the swing) which is sort of a semi-hook/uppercut.

Basically "The Smash" used by Razor Ruddock to decapitate poor Michael Dokes. But he used a straight on Left hook to take out Mayorga in the 1st, and I believe Feroz in the 10th and 11th.

That's the 45. Don't let the monicker fool you though. It ain't exactly at a 45 degree angle all the time.

In round 1, Oscar jabbed to the body, Mayorga tried to counter with a left hook. If you look carefully, Oscar bent down to duck that and threw a right over it to set up his left 45 coming from the waist. It probably looked straight on because his elbow wasn't that low and that's what I think differentiates it from an uppercut, but his left fist was definitely going on an upward trajectory NOT from the shoulder (in a plane) but from the waist.

Same thing with Vargas I believe, because the left hook also came from the waist, you know... like a cowboy drawing his Smith and Wesson from the holster.

    You're a dumbass.:patsch

    You truly are.

Explain, how did you figure Pac to be 5'5"?
Explain, how did you figure DLH to be 5'11"?

If Oscar is 5'11" then Trinidad who is about 2-3 inches taller when standing side to side must be 6'2", and by those figures Hopkins must be 6'5" because when standing next to Tito he looks to be 2-3 inches taller....

    Tito- 6'2"
    Hopkins- 6'5"
    :patsch

See how much of a dumbass you are?

Pray my little theory doesnt come to pass, because if it happens the way I think it will, I'm going to make it my personal mission to make you, to Jack Presscot, what the GIMP was to the two rednecks who owned the Pawn Shop.

    This is stupid :deal

PBF and Forbes are great defenders and simply took it away from Oscar. Yeah a seasoned professional boxer, one who has been throwing a left hook for over 20 years and has one of the best left hooks in the game can only hit people with it if they are an inch shorter then him  :patsch :deal

If your ignorant ass cannot see the contradiction in your postings me point it out. One day you rant how Oscar Delahoya has made a name for himself and built a reputation and a legacy on fighting "oomp-loompas" and now claim he will have problems hitting a shorter man with a left hook :-(

Forbes and Floyd height had nothing to do with they're ability to avoid Oscar's left hook, That ability is attributed to skill.
Both Floyd and Forbes are good defensive minded fighters, Im not so sure Manny is as good as floyd and Forbes when it comes to defense.

You missed my point entirely, but then again, much of what I post goes over your head.

Manny is not an aged Jorge Paez. He is not slow. He has lightning like reflexes, and if he fights low, I have a feeling that hook is not going to hit home.

That "left hook" is gonna knock Manny's mustache into B-Hops lap! He's gonna hit Pac with about 50% of his power punches because Pac is easier to hit then Paris Hilton on a wednesday night :deal

presscot, with Pac as the shorter guy, do you think its possible for ODLH to be stopped by a body shot?
