Yeah, he was KD about 4 times, but the hardest punch I ever seen him take to the chin was in the 2nd Mosley fight, it was aperfect lefthook with mad power, and Mosley was Roided.

He was only KD about six times and he fought everyone there was to fight.

I would say that is chin was very good.

Oh yea, remember that one round 9 I think. Probably yhe hardest I've seen too but I don't think it was with the same delivery as the one that koed mayorga. Hard to tell though but oscar was always v cautious and rarely got his with any BIG shots.

Oscar was dropped early in his career by two or three fighters neither time did he look hurt. In the Vargas fight he really showed he was tougher than what most people gave him credit for.

    very good
ko losses were due to a body shot and being worn down during the course of the fight.

Granite chin, the man never got enough credit for his chin in my opinion. Who would take the punches he took against Pac?, seriously, those punches would KTFO any welterweight out there. You can tell the punches were hard after the first clean punch landed by Pac, DLH was clearly stunned/buckled and was discouraged with his aggression yet still came on.

    Rock solid.

I have never seen him hurt badly and has only hit the floor with flash knockdowns.

The man took the hardest punches of the toughest opponents around and did not get his lights turned off.

He got caught a few times by Trinidad, Vargas landed his best hooks flush, Mosley couldn't put him down, took a massive uppercut from Mayorga, was not phased by Hopkins' right hand, and stayed on his feet with a bucket load of punches from Pacquiao, which KO'd Hatton fairly easily. De La Hoya deserves respect for having one of the best chins of all time.

    its amazing.

And BTW, Oscar was dropped multiple times by nobodies early in his career. Which goes to show that sometimes that doesn't mean ****. Take heed to the ******ed so-called chin specialists on ESB

getting dropped doesn't always equate to having a bad chin.
so before you try to pass judgment try to remember that.

trinidad got dropped often in his career but as far as i can remember he got up every time and knocked the other guy out - until hopkins and retirement.
