Im more concerned with the point in time where he put it all on the line. When he was at the make or break age. He was great fighter but around 1999 was his step up ATGness When i use the word prime i mean his level of opposition

Which is it? Do you dislike Oscar more, or like Tito more? Me thinks they both go hand in hand, perhaps?

    Roy KO 4 Tito :deal

Hmm......well I'm here because of Mike Tyson.
But I guess Oscar does have alot of mainstream appeal.

Every great fighter needs young champions to defeat and write his script. Oscars were Quartay, Trinidad, and Mosley and he's lucky he didn't lose all 3!!!!!!!

HOF- absolutely ATG- COULDA SHOULDA WOULDA

What makes DLH not being an ATG are his losses to Trinidad and Mosley II.

His resume is a who's who from 130-154, plus a couple of 160s he had no real business fighting.

He's had wins in there that were admitedly very close (Whittaker and Quartey) but he's had losses where he probably should have got the W's (Tito and Mosley(2).

Of all the great fighters he's fought (and he's fought nearly all of them over a long stretch) no-one has ever dominated him or beat him decisively.

The exception is Bernard, who began at light heavy.

So, he's a cut below Duran, Leonard and Hearns , but he's one of the best of his era.

    :huh

There two of his losses some argue are his wins. What about Mosely 1, Hopkins, Mayweather... Or Pernell or Quartey?

It was not Trinidad the hero (sent by God and Don King), but the judges

Mosley 1 would be an acceptable loss if DLH had beaten him in the rematch.
Hopkins is MUCH bigger and stronger than DLH. Oscar was not suposed to win this fight. Nobody with senses would expect DLH to win.
Mayweather is an ATG, not a shame to lose to an ATG when you are 34 years old and semi-retired.
Pernell and Quartey were close fights and could have gone either way.

Most (probably including Shane) think he did win the rematch, and by more of a margin than he lost the first.

And as for Tito, only the deluded, who have invented a new scoring method that has 'weighted' rounds, believe Tito won that affair.

i dont know what his lagacy is, but his legacy has to do with being the biggest draw ever and being the only (or first) 6 division titlist.

Didn't the exorcist (Father Damien) do a bit of work on the heavy bag in preparation for the Devil?

Maybe Floyd has sold his soul ?
