He's being moved and protected as one still. They need to take the kid gloves off Canelo if anyone is to take him serious. He's JCCJr-Jr.
Old fart at it with theories again. Canelo is JCC Jr.?, Canelo, at this stage has a far better record than Jr. Go to bed old man.
Canelo puts punches together very well. I have a feeling Shane will go into survival mode and try to make it 12 once he feels Canelo's punches for a few round. Shane doesn't have the punch at 154, nor the confidence he used to.
Here is my reasoning. Watch Alvarez vs Gomez. Alfonso frequently stepped to the side which Alvarez had little answer too, little Alfonso landed right hands, but due to have Paulie-esque punching power couldn't do much damage. Watch Mosley vs Pacquaio. Mosley steps to the side, but doesn't pull the trigger. Shane won't be nearly as intimidated by Alvarez as he was Pacquaio, unless Canelo knocks him down early. I expect Shane to turn Alvarez and crack him with a hard right hand, over and over and there is still some power there, I'm certain. There's also rumours of Shane having had damage to the ligiments in his heel/ankle/foot for the Pacquaio fight, which may or may not be true. Kermit Cintron was gun shy and he stunned Alvarez with a right hand, if Shane turns up with a killer instinct, he'll end the Alvarez hype train. Book it (I have Winky to beat Quillin too)
Nice try camel ****er. His resume is STILL paper thin. Saying it's better then JCCJr's isn't saying much. But since you aren't too bright, I'll explain. My "JCCJr-JR" comment was referencing to him being SMALLER and younger then JCCJR. No where did I suggest JCCjr has a better resume clown. atsch If you would THINK rather then see my posts, and just jump to try and throw a lame insult, maybe you'd see that Canelo really hasn't done jack **** yet. Which was my point. Not a single win over a top ranked JrMW Now go wash the sand outta your vag *****...atsch
It'll be a good fight for maybe three rounds, but Shane is too old. He gets tired after a few rounds, we've seen it for like three fights in a row now. I don't think too highly of Canelo, but he's definitely got enough stamina and intelligent aggression to cruise this to an easy stoppage I'd say.
Depends if Canelo will feel free enough to charge in wide open as he usually does. If Mosley catches him hard he could have him on the defensive. I don't think Canelo will be able to charge in freely in this one, if he is able to do that then Mosley will break down considering his stamina and age.
Thanks Miss Camel ****in Cleo. Always good to know we have posters who can see the future. :good The fact of the matter is, Shane has looked worse and worse in several consecutive fights now. Remember, he's ONLY looked good ONCE in about 6 years now, beating a guy YOU THINK IS A JOKE. And he's rarely been productive at 154, and has shown to get discouraged easily. Aside from a lucky KO punch, this is probably the last hurrah for Shane.
I have a very hard time putting much stock into anything from the Alvarez-Gomez fight. It looked to me like he was just picking up rounds and generally trying stuff out (like the dumb shoulder roll he was doing). It was a bad stoppage and it wasn't his most impressive performance, but I don't think he was trying to get him out of there early anyway. Likewise, Mosley couldn't pull the trigger against Pacquiao well before the knockdown. His gunshyness is simply a matter of old age, not a problem that arose because of Pacquiao's power alone.
I agree but I don't think they fight in the fall. Canelo's considered a future star for GBP. I can see GBP looking to save Canelo for Mayweather last fight before he retires to try and catch him at maybe his weakest point. It would be more beneficial to GBP to have Canelo defeat Mayweather. Plus for Canelo, if he fights Mayweather next he will only get like 4mil. Instead he should take out Mosley then look to fight Cotto 2 fights after. If he beats Cotto he could ask for 10mil vs Mayweather and look to catch him on his way out.
