Sure he couldnt beat bhop, Floyd or Pac but other than that he did well in most fights.

 

Probably because the first one was so boring, there was no public clamor for it. Add to that, Trinidad moved up to 154 right after that and eventually to 160.

Maybe. But Oscar was a better boxer than Trinidad and Mosley. As he showed vs Hopkins. Trinidad was an embarrassment vs Hopkins and Wright. I think Oscar would have given Winky a much better fight than both Shane and Trinidad. There was more skill in his game.

oscar was given two clearly bad decisions. struhm & whitaker clearly beat oscar. If you cant admit that then there is no sense discussing oscar with you.

The ref protected oscar vs hopkins. Broke em way too fast. I also think bhop was carrying oscar.

 

trinidad was an embarassment in those fights because his illegal stack wrap wasnt allowed.

 

The Whitaker fight was close, I had Pea slightly ahead, maybe by a couple of rounds.....another one I haven't seen in decades!

 

quartey was a draw at best for oscar. Whitaker and struhm beat him fair n square. He probably shoulda got the trinidad fight but he did gas and run the last 3 rounds. mosley beat him both times. Draw at best for oscar vs shane in the second fight.

 

whitaker was the champ and dropped him. controlled the whole fight with his jab. He deserved the dec. That was your typical out with the old in with the new bs.
