Kinda figured that'd be the case lol. When they came out with the total non-stat that he's a motivational speaker for kids at the grand age of 22 I kinda realised they probably had no boxing credentials of any sort to point to.

I like to be optimistic about the young guys but this guy doesn't have it in my mind. I think his ceiling is like secondary title.

Juárez summoned up those left hooks from the depths of hell!

Pinoy southpaw has iron flanks, though.

Damn this is heating up in the fourth, that's what we needed. Good fight so far.

    Round 1 Juarez 10-9
    Round 2 Rivera 10-9
    Round 3 Juarez 10-9
    Round 4 Juarez 10-9

Rivera hurt to the body, Juarez fires off, they tange up, both go down, Rivera drives his shoulder into the ribs of Omar, who looked hurt when he got back up. Juarez hurts him again, Rivera fires back, nails him with nasty left, rest of round is even.

He piqued both our interest back in 2019, but hasn't really done a hell of a lot since.

Villegas has it 38 apiece, giving Juárez the 1st & 4th, and Rivera the middle rounds.

This is why it's always worth holding off on lauding prospects until they beat someone of some note at the very least. There are too many examples where the fans have been fooled to date.

    Round 1 Juarez 10-9
    Round 2 Rivera 10-9
    Round 3 Juarez 10-9
    Round 4 Juarez 10-9
    Round 5 Rivera 10-9

Rivera far more active than the last two rounds, nailed him with enough hooks to the body and lefts up top to take it.

Let's split the difference and say he's a so-so/question-mark prospect at this stage until he steps up in class and either shines or gets exposed.

All De Guia Rivera, however, is a known generally tough commodity (and by no means a litmus test of world class potential). He took Rances Barthelemy ten back in January, and Shakhnazaryan twelve in 2017...but also got blitzed in under a round by Malik "IceMan" Hawkins. So yeah, stopping him is kind of a statement, but it wouldn't even make Juárez the first (or second, or third) man to achieve the feat.

Having a go-either-way life-and-death ten-rounder with him, if the second half continues trending in that direction, would definitely plink a few coins in the "not a legit prospect" jar. :sisi1

    Round 1 Juarez 10-9
    Round 2 Rivera 10-9
    Round 3 Juarez 10-9
    Round 4 Juarez 10-9
    Round 5 Rivera 10-9
    Round 6 Juarez 10-9

Omar dominated first two minutes hurting Rivera with a flurry, but Al came roaring back in the last minute but it was too little too late.

Villegas again has it level, 57-57.

Marcos Villegas doing a bang up job on the unofficial scoring there, actually being fair to the B sides and giving them close rounds when deserved.

Very low left upper-hook on the gonas by Rivera there, but not sure it was intentional. Just careless.

    Round 1 Juarez 10-9
    Round 2 Rivera 10-9
    Round 3 Juarez 10-9
    Round 4 Juarez 10-9
    Round 5 Rivera 10-9
    Round 6 Juarez 10-9
    Round 7 Rivera 10-9

Damn close round, but I prefer the thudding shots from Rivera early to Juarez's volume late. Hard to split though.
