He puts together those combos so nicely too, handspeed, power and proper technique is a deadly combination. A great jab would make him a monster.

This is just getting funny, the football player against the captain of the Nigerian amateur team and apparently the football guy spent 8 years training with Mikey Garcia or whatever.

    :hang

    Round 2

Apochi still not getting across with much except glancing body shots - all his jabs absorbed on Glanton's arms. Glanton ducking in, letting some rights skim over his crown, digging hard left hooks downstairs and building guard-splitting combos on Apochi off the strong jab.

    10-9 Glanton

    20-18 Glanton

Apochi is waiting for Glanton to tire I think. Steady jab, losing the fight thus far but doing some good body work.

I can't believe it's Glanton who seems to be the one who knows how to slip counter given the amateur experience differential.

A little Seth Mitchell, a dash of Hasim Rahman, and some Michael Hunter Jr. in the mix of what he reminds me of in the ring. (combination of aesthetics, builds, movement, and fighting styles)

    Round 1 Glanton 10-9
    Round 2 Glanton 10-9
    Round 3 Apochi 10-9

Glanton takes first minute, with clean counters, but Apochi rights the ship by roaring back to take the last two minutes with heavy combos ion a tiring Glanton.

You can have a thousand fights of amateur experience, but if that came on the Nigerian domestic amateur scene it may as well be like...ten fights in Oklahoma.

edit: wow, guess Apochi did lots of international tourneys and had a stint in WSB. Okay, so he really has no excuse to be so trash.

Both of them are monsters, wouldn't be giving either of them lip on a night out, that's for certain.

    Three zip Glans.

    ...can I call you Glans?

No, he reples calmly, while delivering a sledgehammer blow to my dome.

Villegas has it 29-28 Glanton, giving Apochi the third.

These guys remind me of the early 2000's when we had sawed off dudes like Jean Mormeck, Concrete Davis, O'Neil Bell etc.

That said, he didn't exactly distinguish himself against top global opposition. His best result is a shutout against Jai Opetaia. Consistently lost against European fighters.

    Ho-hum.

I was about to correct you but I see you beat me to it, Apochi has lots of top level international amateur experience. He was basically Olympic level but as you can see he is little more than a bundle of physical gifts with no tactical nous of any sort.
