Dude is a badass. Hes fighting tonight against highly touted Starling Castillo and most are expecting him to lose but dont be shocked if Otar wrecks this kid. Hes relentless and sometimes he looks like a mad man but dont be fooled this dude can fight (lots of amateur experience) and he always entertains. Im a fan and will be rooting for him tonight and im going with him for the upset. WAR OTAR.
I didn't see the fight, how did it go? I'm surprised he wasn't widely picked, too strong for a marginal guy like Castillo.
He was impressive. Very good inside fighter that is defensively sound. I would have liked to see him go to the body a little more though. As an inside guy, I was always taught to go downstairs while in close. I think if he would have mixed his attach a little more he would have stopped him.
Every time he got inside I kept waiting to see him rip to the body especially against a tall guy like that but he never did. He was damn impressive though and a guy I am going to keep an eye on going forward.
I just caught this. I like what I see. Like others have said, he could bang downstairs more consistently, along with pumping out that jab harder, but he's a well-rounded aggressor. I really enjoyed the feints before coming in, his ability to counter when Castillo bit, and his combination punching.
He put on a rock solid performance. High energy level and impressive amount of pressure. I agree with others more body work would be helpful. He's quite the character as well.
ANOTHER guy to look for in and around 135!! 130-140 SHOULD be amazing to watch in the next couple of years.
