Marco Huck WBO cruiserweight champion making his 3rd defnce of his title this year in August. This leaves time for atleast 1 more defence this year. Last year he had 4 title fights. What other world class fighter has the same kind of activity, certainly not anyone like David Haye

Who is he fighting though? if he is only fighting bums then fighting 10 times a year is irrelevant.

Yeah, Huck is active, and that's the only positive thing one can say about him. Anyways, I can't be arsed to watch him fight..

cruisers are pretty ordinary. it's more a question of having method in your madness by fighting in the states.
a 'name' fighter in europe needs a lottery win (ala felix sturm) to get a major opponent, but any fighter who kicks the same arse on PPV undercards in the states will get that big name eventually. the carrot of claiming a legit 'title' against a prize fighter who carries a solid fanbase and network backing is something fighters from other weight divisions will sit up and take notice of.

Why is there no middle philosophy on how to defend at Cruiser? you either have guys who defend once every 3rd year or you have guys whom fight the bum of the month club.

Also, who would I rather see Huck fight than that guy, how about Green.

Green? Danny Green? What the ****? He's never even fought a legitimate CW, it's not like he's a titleholder coming up from a lower weight and he's not that good, how the hell would he be a more impressive defence than, well, anyone really.

Green has four fights at (inverted commas) "cruiserweight" (though he's never weighed in within 15lbs of the weight limit). One against a south African light heavyweight coming off a tune up after a loss for the South African LHW title. One against an Argentinian light heavyweight. One against Roy Jones, a light heavyweight. And one against Manny Siaca who had weighed inside the middleweight limit in his previous fight!
