It's pretty funny, on one hand we've seen the form from NSAC which basically states that Manny Pacquaio did not disclose his injury to the NSAC physician the day before the fight.

Now we're seeing that the tear was so serious he apparently needs 9 to 12 months out of the ring.

    Remember this?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m51pATaXdjw

Vitali, WELL ahead in the fight, finding it easy, until he tears his shoulder and basically cannot defend himself with that arm and can only paw with it to try and set up his other arm, decides to quit on his stool to deal with the pain..... seven months later, he had another fight, fully recovered.

    Or?

Jeff Lacy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx4-G49eOXE - tears his shoulder, can't raise his arm high enough to defend himself, grits his way through to a decision victory but basically completely destroyed his career off the back of it because he never had that left hook he wrote his cheques with.

So we're to believe that Pacquaio's injury was much more severe than either fighter mentioned above, while he was still capable right up until Round 11 of throwing right hooks to the body and to the head, and using that arm to jab, and using that arm to defend himself?

I just don't buy it, sorry. It smells too much like horse **** designed to buy public approval for a fighter, coming from a guy who is a king of hrose **** in Arum.

Ward had a rotator cuff injury essentially his whole career.

This was after his surgery pre-Rodriguez.

"People don't realize, I tore my rotator cuff when I was 12 or 13. At that time, being so young, we decided just to not have surgery. And doing all this research leading into the surgery in January, I realized finally I should have gotten surgery back then. The doc said, "It's a miracle you've dealt with this as long as you have and been able to compete with this torn." We went ahead and got it fixed, and what I mean when I say that is, I didn't have the pop, the strength, the power in the right hand that I have now. In order to feel this, consistently, is exciting."

That is a rare exception to the rule though.

I have rotator cuff issues, from being a pitcher earlier in my years in Baseball and then boxing, remember throwing a pitch on a Wednesday night at Baseball practice, feeling a burn in my shoulder, then stupidy on Friday at boxing, I was doing bursts of sprinting, speed work on a bag then down for twenty pushups, on the third push up, felt a big crunch and twenty years on, I still have issues with it.

I still struggle to raise my arm above my shoulder, and when it happened, it was almost unusable. So as for Vitali quitting on his stool, I completely understood when that happened.

But to think Manny fought a fight with that injury, was still able to use his right hand to defend himself and even throw some pretty powerful shots late into the fight with it, that's just complete horse ****.

Mayweather in his first fight against Castillo supposedly entered after he injured his left rotator cuff on the last day of training.

The other thing to note is how effective Manny was with his right hand, versus his left hand during the fight. A lot of the punches he landed came with the right hand.

He was also throwing fluent combinations with it that looked hard into the later rounds of the fight, you point out any other fighter with a torn rotator that has done that?

it was due to the adrenaline doesn't mean he never had extreme pain while throwing the right

you would think a guy who has had shoulder trouble in training camp, then reinjured it in the 3rd round, his corner would have been asking questions through ought the fight. zero. why didn't pacquiao mentioned it with kellerman?

Mayweather also had issues with a torn rotator in the castillo fight he still threw lefts in the fight

just because you throw them doesn't mean you will not feel pain

if you think having a torn rotator cuff doesn't effect your performance than you are stupid

there are 2 versions of pac's injury:

1 that happened in april (remember roach close the gym from outsiders for 2 weeks, and cream stuff).

now there is the aggreviated or reinjured version that happened in the fight, i think prolly rd 4.

    take it how you will.
