Funny, for a guy with a torn rotator cuff to take a flush punch right on the shoulder joint and not even wince, let alone be crippled with pain, let alone continue to throw shots with the arm for 10 rounds that followed, Pacquaio must be Superman.

Which Pac obviously did not do given his universally lamented effort and **** poor punch stats.

OK first of all the GIF ended right after he was hit, so a "wince" might have came a few moments later. And even if he didn't visably wince that doesn't mean it didn't hurt. Fighters have different ways of showing pain. Some fighters show pain, other don't and continue to look tough depsite the pain. And again it's not like he had a broken bone. Broken bones make you wince in pain. Someone who has a tear might not feel it right away, they may not feel it until they throw a punch or something. Not saying your wrong, it's just that what you are saying doesn't prove your right if that makes sense.

I fully admit that I am still trying to figure out all the facts. It is possible you are right but all I'm saying is the jury is still out on what happened here. Regardless, that was a nice GIF and a great punch by Floyd, looks like he got a little chin, neck and shoulder. That said, that GIF sure does make one wonder if maybe Floyd did know Pac's shoulder was injured.

Pacquaio's ego has been destroyed, that's the problem. He'll be depressed for a while because he wanted to give his fans a better show. His injury wasn't that severe and didn't inhibit him that much in the fight, but he's shamelessly hammed it up to the media, as well as his team. It's a disgraceful display of sportsmanship regardless of the truth of the matter. As for the truth of the matter, so much of this is fishier than a brothel.

PugilisticPower knows nothing of fighting with pain it seems, to the level of May or Pac. Pacquiao requires surgery ASAP otherwise it'll never be fixed, yet to PugilisticPower, his injury isn't anything.

Castillo kicked Mayweather's butt, left right and centre in the first fight, presumably due to Mayweather's rotator cuff injury.

I think he just fought with the pain. As soon as Klitschko had problems with his shoulder (torn rotator cuff) during a fight vs Chris Byrd, he quit and gave up the title! Manny deserves credit for fighting in the face of adversity here.

I accept that Pacquiao was injured.
If Mayweather says he was injured, I'll accept that too.

I'm not sure why people have to hate.
Obviously, at his age and with his style of fighting and the amount of fights and training camps, it's likely that he's going to get injured.

I don't think it should be used as an excuse for losing.
But I have no reason to doubt it's a legit injury.

If you want to see someone who really suffered a severely torn shoulder during a fight, go watch Andre Berto vs Jesus Sotto Karass. There are many levels/grades to shoulder tears, and berto's was definitely a severe case.

It was as clear as day that Berto really tore his right shoulder badly, his right arm was hanging VERY low throughout the fight and he stopped throwing with that arm completely by the 3rd round.

don't you see the red mark on that shoulder? there's a thread here who posted a pic of that, but it's clearly visible from the gif you posted.

and did you just complemented Pac on how high his tolerance for pain is?

btw did you know why they invented the M1911 pistol? cause of them damn Filipino Moros just won't drop with the revolver. :rofl

This is why I am wondering how it is so severe and the only reason he lost the fight in their eyes apart from floyd running, yet he was swinging with vicious intentions and not even roy jones jr ringside could see a problem enough to correlate with the reported severity.

Pacquiao is not a liar but I'm wondering whether the disappointment and embarrassment has created a mountain, it's clearly not something you need in a massive fight but this was not the sole reason he was ineffective.
