Usyk beat a motivated AJ twice. Many people had Usyk dominating, I actually had it 7-5 to Usyk. AJ looked good too, probably the best he has performed. This was an AJ who weighed 20lbs+ and had significant reach/height advantage. He then beat a motivated Fury, who had a 40lbs+ weight advantage alongside significant height/reach advantage. As poor as Fury's performance was against Ngannou, he looked very fast and slick fighting Usyk. I also didn't think Fury was dominated as many think on here, I think it was a 7-5 fight to Usyk, tops 8-4. I think we can safely say Fury thought he'd go in and dominate Ngannou. But bad performances happen. A lot of "boxing fans" undervalue size, it takes a big skill gap to overcome that size advantage. I don't know many other heavyweights who have done the same as Usyk. The only person I can think of is Mike Tyson, who was small heavyweight fighting 6'4+ guys. Many say Tyson's overrated, but for being able to beat bigger guys, Tyson deserves to be highly rated. He beat a huge and skilled operator/Olympian in Tony Tucker, for example. Ali didn't beat skilled bigger guy. He beat 6ft 6 200lbs Ernie Terrell who had the worst footwork of all time, that's about it. Joe Bugner was probably the best "big" guy he beat.
Not back to back but Holyfield beat Douglas, Foreman, Bowe, who all weighed over 240 pounds and that was during a 3 year period. I also think Holyfield was robbed vs Valuev which would've been a fantastic win considering his age, so you can count that aswell because I consider that a robbery.
Kabayel beat Smakici (6'6" 240lber) and Makhmudov (6'5.5" 260lber) back to back. He then beat Sanchez (6'4" 240lber). Sorry I missed the bit about "top ranked", so discount Smakici
Douglas was fat and unmotivated when he fought Holyfield. Bowe also came in overweight for that second fight. So, although they were top ranked, they didn't exactly come to fight motivated, or in shape
True about Douglas but Bowe still fought very well in their 2nd fight despite not being as well conditioned as in their 1st fight.
