I know this has come up time after time but can anyone show me a worse round by a ref in a top level fight. Keep in mind this is the same Roger Tilleman who scored Kessler vs Froch 117-111. :fire

Tillman should not have anything to do with boxing after that effort...absolutely deplorable.

    Coggi-Gonzalez was probably worse though.

Worst reffing ever. I seem to remember him warning Reid for hitting Ottke

Stop trying to *******ize Ottke's "Legacy" they were all legit fouls.

Yeah, absolutely terrible. Reid was dominating with nothing more than the hook, so the ref started telling him it was landing illegally, too much of a cuffing shot apparently, total bull****.

    :rofl
His only legacy is he has had more gift decisions than just about any other fighter in history

    Charles Brewer Twice
    Glen Johnson
    Byron Mitchell
    David Starie
    Mads Larsen
and Robin Reid all would have probably got a decision over him in a neutral country.

If this vid is what I think it is, I suggest viewing it on mute instead of listening to the outrageously biased brit commentator.

Hmm. Somewhat (if the vid is what I think it is). Sometimes you hear/read people saying that Reid got penalized for punching Ottke in the face, but by seeing the fight it's obvious that Reid was warned for several real infractions that the VERY patriotic english commentator fails to mention let alone see.

It's only a 5 minute video and I am specifically pointing out 1 round you should just watch it and then see if this is the same video you think it is.

Are you denying that Tillerman admonished Reid for hitting Ottke in the face? Because, its there on video. its the worst display of refereeing in the history of competitive sport - regardless of the rest of the fight. That isolated instance shows why fighting in Germany is the sporting equivalent of pissing into the wind.

I love germany as a country. the people are always fair, decent and friendly, but for some reason their boxing promoters are crooks.

I'll check it out later. I cannot watch on this PC.

Yes. Tilleman did NOT penalize Reid for punching in the face.

Every country has their officiating scandals. Including Britain. For instance Amir Khan was blatantly hitting a downed opponent not once but TWICE in the same round while the referee stood around doing nothing.

Yes correct - not penalize - but he did admonish him for it. Which is ridiculous.

I am not claiming that germany is alone in dodgy decisions. maybe not even the worst. but it has a lot of shockers.
