Now first let me say this. I have immense respect for anyone who gets in the ring as it shows incredible courage but what was that He was just jabbing and finding range Never committed to winning What was his game plan? Did he have one? What was Joey Gamache doing Credit to Chisora but this was more about Wallin being awful to me
Wallin just isn’t very good. No speed, no snap, no combinations, no natural instincts. He should retire.
Which makes Fury's performance vs him even worse considering Fury was in shape for that fight aswell so you can't really make the excuses that Fury wasn't in shape.
Was the fight fixed? There were times when Chisora after his attacks became tired and was wide open, but Wallin just kept tapping him with the jab, and wouldn't throw a left. Wallin looked like he wasn't really trying to win.
I think Gassiev was overrated honestly big puncher but limited. I think Briedis would've beaten him handily aswell had they met.
As far as engaging more purposefully with Chisora, Wallins arse went, again.. Previously, It went against AJ. Only with AJ, it went after receiving a hard right to his chest very early on in the fight. Wallin realised he was outta his depth at that particular point..and we all know the ending to that one. He quit. Wallins arse went against Chisora tonight, but he decided, this time, to try and see it through to the last bell. Which he did pretty much. And fair play to him. Wallins never gonna be taken seriously again, as a winner. Not by anyone. Chisora called it with him in the pre fight build up. Chisora stated that Wallin had no dog.... The rest is history now.
I didn't watch it so I have no opinion, but some in the British forum and on Youtube agree with your thinking.
Abel Sanchez said Gassiev took the fight on 2 week notice for the Anthony Joshua eliminator. He apparently had one sparring partner who wasn't even southpaw. Think Gassiev at cruiser was fairly rated, but has done nothing at heavy
Gassiev got injured again in the fight with Wallin, but it seems he is always going to be injured or afraid of getting injured, so I guess it is academic.
