Wallin had that jittery tentative look that complete amateurs have. Fought with no confidence whatsoever. Utter lollipop.

    Chisora trundles on.

Did you watch Wallin vs Sokolowski? Wallin should've lost that one. He's just not that good.

    Bit harsh, lol.

It was an 8 rounder, after a year-long layoff, in no small part thanks to Hearn and Whyte ****ing around with his career.

I think it might be useful to remember,
He basically went from this: Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin: How Can I Watch the Fight?
To ending up with this: BoxRec: Event

I won't judge him too harshly for that.

I don’t really blame him for it. It looked for a moment the fight might get stopped on cuts and that was about his only chance of winning. I remember Chisora also using his head and trying to rub his coarse hair over Wallins face. I enjoy those little crafty fouls. It’s a fight after all.

yeah, Chisora is a bit dirty, can’t be mad at Wallin for playing the same game. I doubt Chisora is mad about it. If he was asked, he’d probably laugh and say something like “that’s the game bruv”.

Wallin is the perfect example of styles make fights. Most of his wins or near wins were smoke and mirrors, where there was always an asterisk involved, and had more to do with his opponents shortcomings than his skillset. He was never special, he was never some next level talent who would give every Heavyweight nightmares, that was just a delusional fantasy that Fury fangirls were trying to convince themselves of. He's a rudimentary run of the mill southpaw, with next to no pop whatsoever. Who would always be steamrolled by a pressure fighter that cuts off the ring effectively or decent orthodox fighter with a crisp straight right. Murat has always struggled with southpaws, and he was re-injured during that match and had fought 3 rounds in the 2 years before he took on Wallin. Same goes for Fury, Wallin had done his research, had seen Tyson struggle with southpaws who brought consistent pressure, so he went on the attack from the opening bell, and what was the end result of that approach? He was gassed out by the 7th round, and was reduced to a punching bag for the second half of the fight, until Tyson punched himself out by the 12th. Any version of AJ or Chisora would always be a nightmare for Wallin. So while yes, maybe the lack of effort may have been shameful... no, it wasn't a thrown fight. Anyone who saw the effort Chisora put in against the best southpaw in the sport in Usyk, should have seen this coming a mile away. As well as the demolition job he did on Szpilka and domination of Gashi, who fought as a southpaw.
