A slight argument against the sparing a hundred rounds before a fight is the fact it takes your toll on your body and brain. You look at most of the old greats they have some sort of brain illiness, can't blame a current fighter for wanting to protect their long term future.

As ffor the kid huge hype job, should go on Britains Got Talent.

Fair point mate, just find it a bit strange and i don't like that everything they do is based on Mayweather's regime. As great as he is, copying for sake of it? really isn't the way..

I agree i think kids pure hype at the moment, hope to see what he's made of. First few fights will be a big sign i suspect. Cos so far all i keep seeing is him vs pads...

Mitts are for warm ups and warm downs only.... and for Boxercise classes.

Trainers should ****ing bin them as part of the main routine.

in the last ten years i myself have seen lots of footage of Mayweather.Hatton, and most of all the other big names using pads and keep thinking are they only working out on pads like this for T.V, i am and have been coaching Amateurs and professsionals for over 25 years and having boxed at international level as well i can see no benefit to a boxers preparation for fights using the techniques that are being shown on T.V, my coach when i was fighting amateur and pro and other coaches in the 1970s 1980s at the time all used pads for combination punches and sharpening up prior to a fight, lots of bag work 6 rounds of sparring 3 to 4 nights a week and proper shadow boxing.

Signs for Mayweather. Really lack of ring experience . Basically all he does is a dance routine on pads
